Guys, everyone should come together and see if we can keep the original halo reach credit system alive. Lots of people are still trying to grind to the inheritor rank. If they remade halo reach for the new Xbox series where you could keep your old rank and stats, I would buy the game again. Please spread the word. KEEP REACH ALIVE.

The 360 version of Reach will die in December when they shut off the 360 services for Halo.

I’m fairly certain you still retain rank and stuff for offline and local play, which is pretty nice for LAN parties.

I’m hoping to grind inheritor after I get 152 likely within the next couple months. I will have half a year to see how much further I can get (I’m already at Legend).
I would love more time to grind so I ver much support this but I highly doubt it will happen. If there is any way we can make it happen I’m all for it though and you have my support on that front OP.

I straight up will never reach Inheritor lol, I work 60 hours a week at the moment. Even if I put all of my spare time into grinding it out I’m just not far enough into the grind to be able to make a dent before servers are shut off. I’m also half way through HW2 currently.

Yea I am also doubtful I will. I have a job where I work overnight hours where I can actually get away with logging on some hours here and there which helps a ton, unfortunately I am thinking that with reach the population might be too low to get away with that. I have some XP grinding tactics that I plan to utilize and we will at least see how far i can get before the end of the year. Maxing Hw2 is a bit intimidating for me as well but I would like to turn to it when I have done all else.
Lol the servers are already dying thanks to whoever is maintaining them now, the servers worked 24/7 up until recently with the announcement of servers going down in December either they stopped maintaining servers as much or they started shut down early cause the servers as of the last 2 weeks are offline half the time now globally

I am still hopping its just a coincidence and they are fixed soon before the summer

I feel you my friend. We are being reassured that there will be no surprise sunset so I hope that helps ease some of the anxieties at least.
I agree, at this point I’d pay a small fee for a transfer.

I would to, but I cant imagine we make up a large enough population to make it worth it especially with the MCC already out there. I do wish the MCC allowed people to keep their old ranks for various games and connected to old service records but ultimately 343 decided to go in a different direction and I respect that.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but no. When Halo Reach can’t connect to any online server you loose all your ranks and all your armour and go back to default spartan. You not only won’t be able to rank up anymore, but you will loose anything you have. You won’t even be able to see the armours anymore. No achievements will be unlockable. The only thing you will have is the base campaign and maybe you will be able to keep the maps and updates you downloaded, but if you ever need to replace your xbox or loose any of the saved data the game won’t be able to be updated and default back to the game on the base disk with no updates or DLC. This also applies to all the other Halo Games. I think you keep your Halo 3 Armor with the exception of Recon and the bungie flames. But yeah make sure you have all the updates downloaded to any console that you want to use the games on.

Heartbreaking, but yea at least the H3 service record will survive. A different system would be nice if it could be implemented because this is a real kick to the gut for long time fans, although it was known to be more or less inevitable from day 1.
Oh well, I guess 10 years is a pretty good run to have been able to enjoy the game.

More people should demand satisfaction I dont understand why they dont just take the time to fix the game? they say its not worth it anymore and costs money?? How about the money everyone paid hundreds of dollars to play and have xbox and reach so… Its not anywhere near as much money as what we paid them, sorry this is not valid and ive heard people discussing potential lawsuits? They have a case too… Better to just fix it and keep the games that customers have paid for, it is the right and noble thing to do. And i believe people need to be more outspoken on this issue

I think Imma post under Halo Infinite to better go in detail as to how I feel about this.
But classic Halo sees a pushback from fan’s of 343i direction because Microsoft doesn’t own an Ip that caters to sprint, ADS, and all these current features that today’s shooters have. So these guys want Halo to become that. Long time fans don’t want this at all and Halo’s unique gameplay is a breath of fresh air from the constant same none sense we get shoved down our throat. MCC initial sales on Steam show that the desire for classic Halo is all too real.
Microsoft needs to create a new IP that follows all these trends so that Halo fans who’s been waiting for over a decade can enjoy a new Halo game with what we expect and deserve.
