what if we are looking at the E3 Campaing trailer wrong? What if the ‘Her’ Eternal refers to isn’t the Domain but Cortana and her secrets? Or even the Libriarian and Her secrets. I find these two possibilities to be more credible then their being some form of forerunner rate that’s directly linked to the Domain. For one the precursors or at least flood ones locked the Forerunners out of accessing the Domain. And seeing as it was at least severely damaged by the firing out the Halo’s I dare say the Domains secrets or a large amount of at least have been lost to us.
I believe it could be the librarian, judging by how the Guardian itself had blue lighting similar to the early stages of halo 4. I don’t know why the Promethians being fought by Osiris are orange though, perhaps it doesn’t necessirily mean they are controlled by Didact, but rather by warrior servants. There are so many unaswered questions I have…
Same here I belive the light colour could also represent their threat level? MC would see blue as he has ‘clearance’ to board the Gaurdian while Locke/Osiris see the yellow/orange to show they don’t and that the Promethean’s are hostile/in attack mode.
With respect to the color of the promethians… I was wondering the same thing and believe their respective color (be it blue for low threat level to orange for active combat).
But… In the beginning of H4 the useless Covie’s where being slaughtered by Promethians operating with blue lighting.
I can’t wait to play H5
I believe Cortana has found a way to
interact with the Domain during the events of H4.
Did you notice how in the final cutscene of Midnight, the Didact seemed to have a healthy amount of respect/fear of Cortana?
we have not seen the end of Cortana nor
the Librarian. These two wonderful ladies may end up becoming key figures/heroines in H5… protecting the Chief from not only Locke’s fireteam, but from larger threats who remain unknown.

That’s sound very interesting. I always wonder that, as you said he shows something toward Cortana, while he wanted to kill Chief he don’t hurt Cortana. Probably you right about these things.

Except for the fact that she’s been confirmed dead.

i believe 343i is intentionally being deceptive by confirming Cortana’s death in H5.
Death in the sense that she no longer resides in the microchip which is placed in back of chiefs helmet or a UNSC controlled AI/Asset, sure.
But we have just scratched the surface of how powerful the domain is… According to Silentium the Domain was not under the control of the Forerunners and (this is speculation) but might be a separate entity all together.

It was created by the Precursors as a sentient repository of the sum of their knowledge. It is for all intents an purposes a Precursor given its status as sentient and awar. This is known. But Frankie saying “it’s obvious that her fate was very clear” is not being deceptive, it’s being very forthright that she is dead. In fact, Frankie’s further statements about her legacy and the whole “how does Chief behave after her death” thing makes it pretty unambiguous that she’s gone. Domain using Cortana’s image to goad the Chief, sure, that’s believable, as it communicates through memory. But as a conscious entity Cortana is dead.

While I agree with you Cortana as we KNEW her is gone. Based on the amount of time Cortana was plugged in and roaming forerunner tech in H4 she undoubtly came into contact with the domain.
I believe a “new & improved” (that’s an understatement) cortana will make a dramatic & powerful appearance towards the end of H5’s campaign.
Cortana’s dead. She was on the Mantle’s Approach. All of her. Then it exploded.
Not to mention all the times in Halo it’s said that she’s dead.
“And yet a part of her still remains…” *Maniacal laughter.
Cortana couldn’t have accessed the Domain the terminal’s explicitly state that its trying to access something called the domain meaning it is unavailable by this point. if any of it survived I would assume the forerunners would have put something to disable its use given guilty spark specifically states “one unsatisfactory point remains, there will be no contact with the domain” (note I am aware this quote is wrong)
