Keep up the armor criticism

No, we need to stop complaining about armor customization and battle pass progression and start bringing up issues that affect the actual game . There are issues that affect gameplay that are far, far more important than irrelevant customization options that don’t matter, and that you barely ever even see in-game because the game is in first person.

Being employed in the game design industry myself, I do have to disagree. You’d by surprised at the issues that can arise from something that seems like just flipping a knob. I see bugs appear all the time from those very sorts of change; why do you think so many bugs are still in Infinite right now? Game design is complex, and there’s a lot of testing and little minute detail work that has to be done for even the smallest of changes.

Maybe the armor coatings are designed to fit on only the gear pieces set up for each core. That shouldn’t take too long to adapt, but that doesn’t mean just flipping a switch. Takes a little bit of work, then a whole lot of testing and QA.

343 made a huge deal that a big selling point of this game was personalizing your spartan. The gameplay is excellent already. This is a problem. If you dont care then go make a post somewhere else.

I feel the same way. If they acknowledge the problem and changed the system and added the expansive customization they advertised a year ago I’d be happy even if I had to wait another 6 months to a year after forge finishes. I just want them to address it.

This one hundred percent. Acknowledging is the first step, but their silence is deafening

As it stands I feel bad about the purchase I made when getting the BP. Bad enough to never want to make another purchase again. I love this game, I really do, but I want to feel good about supporting them. Not bad about it. I just can’t get behind what they’re currently doing. I feel like I’m being scammed with their coating system.

Agreed mate. I really regret buying it if this is how theyre gonna act.

When I heard this game was gunna be F2P I knew it was the beginning of the end, hate being right all the time.

Your gunna deny us the ability to choose colors but then limit the ones you sell to cores? Limit armor to cores?

There is a special place in hell for people that design their games this way

The core game design is excellent, but the gameplay as a whole is far from excellent at this point. There’s nothing excellent about being able to out-gun a BR with an AR at long range because the AR has stupid accuracy, there’s nothing excellent about a sidearm being a go-to weapon. There’s nothing excellent about being killed after you’re 5 feet around a corner and have broken line of sight of the guy shooting you. There’s nothing excellent about forced objective gametypes where people barely even play the objective.

Customization has no affect on the game whatsoever. This is a game, not a dressing room.

Customization is a key part in the Halo Franchise Multiplayer from the begining. And matters to most players. Drop the edgy attitude.

The AR ia fine. What the game needs is more aim assist for controllers. The whole games aiming system feels way off

Customization has always been an integral part of Halo since CE. It’s not about being “a dressing room.” It’s about expressing yourself, and immersing yourself into the game. The multiplayer aspect of Halo is about the player (you) going through spartan training. This is supposed to be your spartan. This character in the multiplayer pvp aspect is supposed to be you. That’s what they were advertising, and that’s what this whole thing is about. Look at CE, Reach, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Tell me this isn’t off. Color customization has been with us for 20 years… Why take it away on the 20th anniversary.

No it hasn’t. Halo CE and 2 had none, Halo 3 barely had any. The game is never going to improve if you don’t start providing feedback on what’s actually important to the game itself. Gameplay is, always has been, and always will be the most important part of any and every video game.

I agree. The AR is in a good spot. The aim assist could be better but after adjusting the dead zones and other aspects of controller sensitivity I can manage. I do hope they improve it over time.

Immersion is a function of gameplay and game behavior, not staring at armor on a screen. The human brain doesn’t work that way.

Exactly how does customization make a Spartan more “you” than the gameplay decisions and actions that “you” make that are literally an expression of who you are? Customization is vanity, it’s how you want to be seen, not who you are. Gameplay is who you are unfiltered, because you are the one playing and making all the decisions without things like vanity affecting your decision-making.

Why do you get up every morning, fix your hair, and put on clothes? Why not just save your money and stick to wearing only a pair of blue jeans and a white shirt with basic sandals when the decisions and actions that “you” make are literally and expression of who you are? Customization is expression, it’s how we show others who we are. It’s why we put on a suit when going to a business meeting to express that we’re professional. It’s why we wear a tux to formal events. It’s a part of the decisions and actions that we make. It is us.

This! Yeah I’d actually pay for colour pallets etc. Just give us more options. Every game is full of plain MKVs and MKVIIs. It’s crappy to see tbh, I like seeing people make great looking Spartans

We get it l, you dont care. Your in the minority here. Go away

Okay so you’re not just wrong, you’re stupid.

CE had colors
2 had primary secondary colors and emblems
3 had that plus tertiary color and armor
Reach had that plus visor and armor effects plus more armors
4 had all that and even more armors.

If cutsomization didnt matter then why did Fortnite, and Call of Duty make millions off selling customization?

There is tons of feedback about gameplay all over the forums so go there if thats what you are looking to complain about. But the game is the WHOLE product, the ENTIRE presentation, not just gameplay.

I remember the day when they announce halo infinite that they specifically said that they wouldn’t have micro transactions. Wonder why they decided to make it to a free game and decided to do it. Something tells me they were being disingenuous about it.

I’ve been a MK. V (b) fan since Reach. It’s likely the only helmet I will wear consistently. However it doesn’t even have the brim attachment. The only time I ever saw the just brim attachment was in the reach beta. It wasn’t even in the regular game. I was hoping HI would have improved on the old armors and let us mix and match even the attachments. I guess not…

…I would have paid a lot of money for the right customization option. I’ve been holding my sim package for this, but no. Thanks for screwing it up.
