The beta’s art style and lighting were awesome. It was realistic and more gritty. Some maps were dark (Eden) and others were colorful (regret) and now Eden is bright and regret is dull. The Spartans also looked awesome. They were less cartoony and the armor didn’t look like it was plastic that much. Unfortunately, the community complained that they couldn’t see so everything was changed which sucks. It was an awesome art style and I hope that it returns in halo 6. Does anybody agree with me that the beta art style and lighting should be in halo 6?
I agree, the Beta looked absolutely fantastic with its superb lighting and darker, grittier style. But then the final game came out and everything changed…
Changing the art style was good for a competitive shooter where the teams need to be equal. It was really hard to see blue team on truth in some situations.
Someone here said that it was not only art style changes but graphics downgrade(for example lightning at all)
And i agree with him.
I wonder why people don’t seem to realize why they did it. It was for gameplay reasons.
don’t forget the much nicer UI

Some of the changes, they made for gameplay reasons. But the lighting in the Beta was much nicer than in the final game. The general graphical fidelity was reduced between the beta and release.

UI was fantastic
“Art style”
You keep using that word.
I do not think it means what you think it means.
Was there really any difference, I think the only reason why people think it was different is because they changed the lighting on Eden and the beta was only 720p
The beta certainly looked much better than the final game, both in lighting and in its theme.

have you guys seen the pre release UI concept? It looked like the best UI Halo ever had! But they favored whatever the hell we got instead.

Because it was a concept.
Your confusing art style with graphics and detail. The lighting of the beta maps weren’t art style, they were just effects added to the map.
Art style- covenant details/ unsc military details/ for inner shiny metallic detail, these are art designs. Lighting, and effects to the map aren’t art design.
Please 343 give us more realistic darker maps
Wish I could have seen it for myself.

Does color count as art style?
The beta was a lot better the game is way too bright now which is why it is so much pixilation
I LOVE the way the beta looked. Better than the actual game. Why on earth did people complain about that?

I think it can be used to work with art design yes, the covenant design is generally purple built with curvy designs. The covenant super carriers for instance, they’re not pointy on the end, but rather have a curb to them, and they’re also purple, just like most covenant designs. I would also say a part of the covenant design is how bright most of their interiors can be but I could then be a hypocrite as I’d call that more of an effect rather than an artistic design, but it could be both.
The he reason why I don’t think art design changed is cuz the structures and such can literally stay the same, they just need to go back to how they had the lighting set up and that’s all that’s change, not the actual structure designs.
