I’m not going to lie, I really do not like regular Regicide. With how bad I regularly am at Free for All games, I am not as much of a fan of having an objective game with commendations mixed into it. This is especially because a win requires you to be actually in first place, rather than playing a support role and helping your team earn a victory.
But, my day has finally arrived. Now that Team Regicide is available, I can try my hand at racking up precious victories now that I can play a support role. Maybe the game shouldn’t be on a permanent basis, but I would enjoy at least a few weeks of it so we can get a decent amount of the way through our Regicide Victory Master commendations. But, thank you 343 for the short amount of time that we will be able to play this gametype!
Alternatively, I would love to see Fiesta Slayer enter the mix in the future. It would be a pretty fun way to develop a diverse amount of kills with both loadout and ordinance weapons. FFA or teams really don’t matter to me if we get Fiesta. I would play nothing else for an entire week, challenges be darned.
Fiesta Slayer for sure!
I’ve tried two games of Team Regicide- I’ve found it to just be a bad gametype- You change over to be the king as soon as your points are higher, there’s no respawn law or anything- which immediately forces you to be more cautious in what can be an already hopeless situation- also, you’ll constantly spawn as king if you’re leading in the points. In the two games I’ve played so far I’ve been the King for the majority of the games and I haven’t found it to be that much fun at all. It’s an annoyance to constantly be the king and having to fend of attackers for the entirety of what should be a dynamic team game, where everyone gets a turn of being leader.
I really miss VIP…
I can understand why people don’t like Team regicide, but personally I enjoy it. The one thing I would like to see is variations on the maps used for it.(more cover maybe?) I spent a chunk of time as the king playing the other day, my problem with it is that with a weak group you get obliterated, nobody goes for king and if you do chances are he’s upgraded with over shield and damage boost (it’s nice when you get those boosts and plow through enemies though.).
If start well it’s easy to keep a lead, if you mess up it’s hard to get out of the hole.
Fiesta Slayer sounds pretty good right about now.
Wait, Infinity Slayer isn’t Fiesta Slayer?? That’s news to me.
