Keep getting matched with same people

Every time I play Halo 5 i am constantly being matched up with the same people. My xbox seems like it was hacked into hacked because the server only allows me to connect with the same players. My teammates stand around and watch me go against the entire opposing team. When I try and see what a teammate is doing they are usually bunched up watching me play. Its pathetic that I have to complain on a game forum but I dont know what else to do. Also this happens on every multiplayer game I own. Is there something I can do?

Same thing is happening to me in SWAT, I’m grouped with the same pool of players

If it’s on every game you own, then it’s likely due to your location and/or your skill level. Try searching on expanded if you’re not doing so already.

I’ve had the same problems on H5, MCC…it’s kind of confusing when it happens. I’ve reported, blocked accounts, still found the same gamers in the next game. The only thing I can recommend to minimise the chance of finding the same players is to take a break then come back since by then the players will already be in another game which would lower your choices of repeated match’s.

Reporting and blocking does not change your chances to matchmake with a particular user. The only time XBL blocking has affected matchmaking was back in the Warlords playlist when it was still new. And that led to issues with matchmaking for everyone in that playlist, so 343 turned off the association of blocking with matchmaking. When XBL blocking affects matchmaking, people abuse that feature to block players better than them so they don’t get beat by them again, which eventually leads to everyone seeing majorly increased matchmaking times.

They are the same skill as you are, so you will keep matching with them. I can name a handful of people I matched back in 2017 that I still play with/against to this day.

Yeh I kind of figured.

I have my personal reasons and I’m not sure if I want to talk about it but I strongly feel like not enough is done to stop abusive accounts, it feels degrading to be put in games with abusive persons that can threaten or endanger peoples lives.

You fix a problem and create another.
