There’s no real definitive K/D ratio to settle on. It’s better to stay positive than negative.
Well, ideally, if you are placed where you should be in terms of rank and are getting fair matches, your K/D should be sitting around 1.0.
If it’s much higher than 1.0 (for ranked Arena, lets say), that means you are getting matched often against underskilled opponents. A K/D much lower than 1.0 means you probably are getting matched against players higher skilled than you.
I’m bad, that’s all I know. 
I’d say it should level out the higher you go.
So using ranks just as an example no hard data
- champion/onyx 1.2+
- daimond/platinum 1.4+
- gold 1.0+
- silver/Bronze -1.0
Ive been in gold for a while now and never reached past daimond. In gold I found matches to be very lop sided most of the time I could easily go from 1-10 kd in a winning game. Higher up though in daimond matches were fairly even mostly coming down to clutching the victory on either side.

I wouldn’t even be mad either lol. I’ve never played Royal 2, but have played several others and yeah, its crazy how good they are. I’ll be playing super sweaty and they’re on stream ripping my face off answering questions while reading chat haha.

I don’t run into them frequently but anytime I run into the pros it’s never pleasant. I’m just happy to come out of the game only neg a couple and no goose. My standards are the best.

Pro: 1.5 and higher (This does not include smurf accounts.)
Good: 1.2 - 1.3
Average: 1.2 (Take in mind I don’t know how many people play Halo 5 and don’t know who they are, so I can not give you a perfect average KD. This is just what the average of the people I play with plus 3 randoms in any place on the leaderboard from 25 FFA games.)
Bad: 0.9999 or lower (I would not think you were bad if you were below SR110. If you are under this SR and still have this KD, I would see you as an average player.)

Most professionals are around the 1.6 - 1.8 range of KD.
Thing is… it doesn’t matter a whole lot because what if you have a 2.0 K/D… at Gold tier? Does that make you better than someone with a 1.0 K/D at Onyx rank?
Not necessarily… all that means is that you can pub-stomp on lower tier players.
Personally, I’m pretty content with a ~1.2 K/D being an Onyx tier player, given the time I’ve spent on the game… Is that good or bad? Who knows… but if you’re killing more than dying, you’re pulling your weight.
I really don’t think k/d matters.
If you took the bullet for some player with a power weapon, instead of watching them doe and picking it up, only to die after, that’s a good reason for death.
Being ganged up on? There’s no way to get out of that unless you have a weapon with ridiculous splash damage.
CQC players also die a lot. Why? Simply due to the nature of their combat. They lead the team, and when against other players with this same playstyle, it’ll normally end up as both of you dying.
The majority of players with high K/D are one of the three: Campers, snipers or actually good players.
I may just be making excuses for how terrible my k/d is, but it really isn’t something I care about.
What I really care about is getting req points and being top of the team.
KD and win% don’t mean anything in this game
