It would also be beneficial to point out that Magnetism is heaviest in Red Reticle Range which PC players don’t have (not sure if RRR is active on KBM on console).
There’s also the issue of the “aim resist” mechanic imposed on KMB players when trying to utilize the sniper rifle in hip fire that controller players aren’t handicapped by.
It is really that hard to understand? I show the difference in damage being done while both crosshairs are the same distance away from target on both controller and KBM, and at the same time side by side. You get that part, right? While showing that, I also show how much more damage is being done with controller vs KBM, which is significantly more since a controller can get the kill without reloading while with KBM, you have to reload.
yeah i definitely agree to this. But bullet magnetism on both pc and console are the same regardless of input. Its just that the guns are practically projectile based so the bullets actually do not hit as well on kbm, compared to controller. So the players literally matrix their way out of bullets when kbm players tries to hit a person. Controller is easier because it has reticle stickiness so the bullets rarely ever miss.
I’m not sure what you mean by that. I’m not sure if you mean bullet mag is the same for KBM and controller or bullet mag is the same with controller on both console and PC?
dude ur heated already when its undeniable that controller in this game makes the below average and average players seem good. This was stated by snip3down himself. Dont be rude about it. Its just the facts. So do u have any benchmark that proves ur kbm aim or is it just subjective?
I told you the bullet magnetism is the same on both inputs.
You’re test isn’t valid because of the absence of red reticle range on pc.
Without that, you don’t really know whether or not you’re entering the bullet magnetism zone. That’s why I tested on my Xbox because I would get more accurate results.
Well yeah, but the visual indicators of optimal range are not, especially with FOV variance.
Within RRR bullet magnetism is strongest, however on PC we don’t know what that range is because we don’t have a red reticle.
Aim assist stickiness functions best at RRR, which is also where magnetism ramps up the most. It’s a combination of these two that allows controller to feel more consistent with shot placement than using a mouse.
If we had RRR indicators on PC, the shot placement would most likely feel a bit better as we know when the bullet magnetism mechanic is working as intended.
From my testing and experience with both inputs, controller gets stronger bullet mag than KBM. It is there with KBM, but it’s not as forgiving as it is with controller.
This is where I believe I debunked that theory. I’m able to get shots to land with controller on console without the crosshair needing to be red. Not only to land, but to finish the kill without the need of a reload.
so what about the players on controller pc? They do not have red reticle range. Trust me there have been many tests that shows Bullet magnetism is the same on both inputs. The problem is the reticle stickiness that prevents the bullets from missing because it sticks on the player model. Whereas kbm does not have this and causes bullets of a br burst to miss. This game is projectile based and if it wasnt it would be more balanced.
You can still land shots, it’s not impossible to do so or even get kills. You could do it in any Halo title outside of RRR regardless of range. It doesn’t mean those are optimal engagement ranges though.
I’m suggesting optimal kills ranges are harder to perceive when there’s an intrinsic mechanic that points them out to the player that’s inaccessible to a portion of the player base.
