I wonder who is replacement will be. Still, Jinnouchi did amazing work in 4 and 5. I’ll miss his work.

He did better than the other guy they had, Kazuma actually made a few good songs that reminded me of old school Halo,
hope the new guy tries harder to recreate the original sound of Halo’s music, personally I hated halo 4’s ost.
Davidge and Jinnouchi did excellent work, sucks to see the former leave before Halo 5 and now the latter leaves.

Agreed! He’s an amazing composer and I enjoy his work overall, but it never felt like “Halo” to me. Especially H4 was way too electric and in your face. I get it, it was supposed to be the theme of the game, but subtlety is what made the OST composed by Marty so special in first place imho. It was what made MGS old music so good as well. I don’t know what went wrong in H4, but it wasn’t quite right. While H5G was a step in the right direction, but still underwhelming imho.
I hope the new guy and his team will bring back some tribal themes instead of the techno oriented one. A bit of powerful metal here, a spark of violins and sad pianos there and voilà! Halo gets a Halo art-style AND a Halo-like OST!
Damn that sucks! He did a good job in halo 5 and his scores for halo 4 were pretty good too.
