Kazuma Jinnouchi as Halo 5 composer, thoughts?

After hearing his several tracks from Halo 4, which were about 117 miles ahead of Neil, as the more fitting for a Halo composer. I’m glad to hear he will be doing the most of the next soundtrack. Here’s a link to a not so good quality samples of the soundtrack:http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TfD6Ts_eisM
parts 3:31 and 8:40 are the highlights of the samples though.

Gotta say, I’m impressed. I hope he manages to compose something that can top 117 and Arrival.

I think he can, but I’m glad he has songs in the games that sound similiar to each other. Similiar to what Marty did. Whats your favorite track?

At 8:48, I just get this image of Locke standing on top of a cliff, looking out, as the camera rises behind him to reveal some massive forerunner thing that has a lot of plot and stuff… Okay, that sounded a lot better in my head, but it still sounds epic.

In the whole series? that’s a tough one. In Halo 4? 117, Arrival and Never forget (MN version) with Lasky’s theme and sacrifice being close seconds.

Ugh, I can’t un-see it.

You do have a point, it was an epic thought! Just need a little more detail in the plot and stuff,

Wait, where did that come from? And this video is up since last month???

He was easily the best part of Halo 4’s soundtrack. Glad he’s doing the full thing now.

All of the songs in the video were pulled from the various Halo 5-related vidocs and such, which is why it sounds warbly; that’s the voices talking over the music being edited out.

I 100% approve. He’s great. All of his tracks were my favorites from Halo 4. Now I know why 4’s score could be so inconsistent at times.

He’s good with the epic tracks but Davidge is the one responsible for the likes of Haven, Green and Blue and the Didact’s theme. I’m interested to see how he’ll handle the more emotional tracks.

Who is the composer now?

Jinnouchi is responsible for most of the tracks from Halo 4 that I loved. The man ‘gets’ the Halo vibe far better than Neil did.
Speaking of which, in case nobody’s heard it yet here’s some H5G Beta music captured by Kotaku: Halo 5: Guardians MP Beta music

He took aspects of Halo 4’s style, added orchestra back in and mixed in a tiny smudge of Mass Effect’s musical feel. I have no complaints whatsoever about what I heard in that little clip, in fact I look greatly forward to seeing how Kazuma’s take on Halo’s music evolves over coming games. The man’s not Marty, but unlike Davidge, Jinnouchi seems like he understands the foundations of the Halo sound and honors them while adding to it, rather than running off in an entirely different direction.

He will never be as good as Marty. Even if he is better lol

Locke? Try Chiefy

I thought of a Forerunner construct (like the one in the H5 teaser) rising from the ground, shattering everything and then a fighter coming out from the corner of the screen flying towards the construct revealing Chief as the pilot of that shot and then -bam!- Halo 5: Guardians.

Honestly, I find Kazuma’s work to be miles and miles ahead of both Marty’s, Mike’s, and Neil’s combined.

Prepares to have head dunked in a washbasin full of boiling water

Watch “The Sprint” on Halo Channel, you can hear alot of his work in the background. Its incredible.

Marty shall not be surpassed, for he is the mantle.
