so the whole reason memories of reach is coming out is to bring back some old reach memories right? well I seem to remeber that kat had a robotic arm! an kats armour as of what we now know does not. An here comes 343’s BS excuse “oh it’d be a problem because of hit boxes wah wah wah” not it would not. make the robot arm have the exact same hit box of every other spartan just like going with the girl spartan doesn’t some how make you “harder to hit” because look slightly thinner. just leave the hit box for the arm like every other hit box an leave the model as kats robot arm. given if some people have a problem with the robo arm then sure just make a variant without said feature. I can see the reason with emiles knife a bit considering it does stick out a tad an could give the enemy a unfair advantages (IE seeing you behind cover when they shouldn’t if you wore any other armor) but it seems to me that 343 are just being lazy about it. I mean has anyone saw juns extra sniper bullets? XD those things look plastic.

Before I read that last sentence I was about to jump all over that “born with a robot arm” comment lol.
The reason that she has no robotic arm has nothing to do with hitboxes, so don’t make assumptions. The way that armour works in this game is that every Spartan has the same base model, being the undersuit. When you choose your armor, it puts the selected parts on top of this undersuit. And so, if they wanted to have a robotic arm, they would have had to create a completely new undersuit that has a robotic arm to use with Kat’s armour. But remember, the game’s customization system is unfortunately not designed to support multiple undersuits, so doing so would be a lot of work.
And if they’re not willing to give us the four unique undersuits used by Fireteam Osiris, I don’t see why they’d make a completely new one for Kat’s robotic arm. It’s unfortunate, but that’s how it is.

Honestly, what if a Marine was inspired by Kat, and when the Spartan IV program was announced, and wanted to look like the spartan that inspired them. Just imagine what it would be like of the UNSC said “Yeah, sorry, but if you wan’t to look like the person who made you wan’t to become a spartan, we’re going to need to cut off your arm.”
