I’ve heard that you unlock the Katana Armor by having 1000 Gamerscore OR 49 out of 79 achievements. I have 1000 Gamerscore right now, but the armor is not unlocking. Can someone please help?
That’s not how you get it. You need to get all 13 Gold Skulls (Which can be found in the campaign).
Note that Silver Skulls as well as Mythic skulls don’t count towards it.

I did get all of them.
All I can do is give the available information, if it doesn’t work, then I have no idea why, but here’s the requirements, double check you’ve completed them all.
Katana
To unlock the Katana, which is a non-usable item that is essentially the fourth piece of Hayabusa Armor, get all thirteen Skulls in the game, and achieve a gamerscore of 1,000 (complete all achievements).

You are badly incorrect, the way he stated originally was correct. Getting all the skulls just gives you the hayabusa armor–not the sword. Sometimes the sword doesn’t unlock and you need to keep getting more achievements
Ummmmm I’m not sure why, but the skulls really don’t have anything to do with it… But yeah you need the gamerscore to get the 1000… But what’s weird is that I got the security head, and the katana, but I didn’t get the score… So I’m not sure nowadays…
Finally unlocked my Katana after earning 4 more achievements!

um the skulls get you Hayabusa without the katana. If you didn’t get it with the 1000 g, just go for the 49 achievements

i got mine last week you just need 1000G to get it

You don’t have to. It’s 1000 or 49 not both
do some other achievements!
