K.D. Reset Option

WE NEED A K.D. RESET OPTION!!!

I have always been a PC Gamer. It wasn’t until I started playing Halo 5 that I played my first Console FPS. So, needless to say,

I sucked. Really bad.

Well, 0.2 isn’t the worst K.D. out there (well, maybe), but it was a nightmare to me because I had no idea how to aim (PC gamers, you get me, right?) because a mouse and keyboard are so much smoother and easier.

I kept playing, hoping to get better. And I did. Eventually.

Now I’m actually a pretty good player. But I have been scarred forever by the noob days.

EDIT: Since everyone is saying “no way never gonna happen” here is an alternate plan. (woah magical!)

SO I know this a reasonable thing. Just have the K.D. show your recent K.D. trends instead of your all-time! (Magic, right?)
It’s really not that hard.

But, anyways, please add something like this, 343.

Please.

Yeah, that’s never going to happen.

What they need is a resent KD tracker. Some thing like on a monthly or weekly tally.

Meh. You have the same number of Untouchables that I do. K/D isn’t that important if you’re having a good time. You can check your recent KDA trends in your service record here on Waypoint if I’m not mistaken.

No, there shouldn’t be a “reset” option. If that were to be introduced, there should also be a “reset win/loss ratio” option. And a “reset weapon stats” option. And countless other options to alter your stats to make you look like you’ve always been amazing. Own what you have earned. Getting better is good, but there’s no shame in the stats from when you were a brand new player. It just shows your progression.

Not to mention if someone were to look at your stats, saw you were a level 100 with 0 kills and 0 deaths, it’d be pretty simple to figure out that they reset because their stats sucked thus not helping you with your apparent problem of being “undervalued” anyway. Who’s undervaluing you though? Team mates? There’s no way to see stats prior to a game so I don’t understand how it even affects you.

the game keeps track of your KDA in each ranked playlist. It resets each season. Your overall KD however is permanent.

Once a noob always a noob.

No there shouldn’t be rest option. K/D ratio does not reflect skill. You can watch those eSport players and see their K/D ratio in total yourself in a eSports match and see how high their K/D goes.

I sure do wish they’d consider letting us make all of our stats private, if we wish, though.

Well then it could show your K.D. levels 1-25, 26-50, etc. And I was being undervalued by Spartan Companies A LOT, so I just got sick of it and made my own.

Must take one to know one.

EDIT: Just checked your profile, LOL you literally do. But anyways, that isn’t always true. I have gotten more used to the Xbox controller in the last 6 months, and I know people who were even far worse than I ever was get better.

Just looking at your stats, I don’t think the only issue is your K/D if you were being overlooked by companies. You have 760 games completed and only a 28% win loss ratio coupled with a career high ranking of Silver 6. If you were trying to join highly competitive companies, it’s like it was a combo of all those stats, not JUST your K/D. Silver 6 players simply don’t cut it for companies who are competitive, especially in hunt for Achilles. However there are plenty of Spartan Companies out there who are simply about fun and community instead of stats so I still don’t see what the issue is.

You could always create a new account. I don’t understand why such an arbitrary stat would bother you, but that would give you a fresh start so to speak.

I play a lot of infection, its really no surprise. I don’t play much competitive arena, prefer casual gametypes instead. lately I’ve been working my way up, trying to get something better than that one silver I got like… 4 months ago? Yeah, I play lots of casual and warzone.

Nope. I’ve spent over $100 (I know, I have a problem) in HCS packs and stuff like that

The good news is, once Halo 6 comes out, this shouldn’t be a problem for you anymore! Yeah, I highly doubt they’ll reset it in 5 at this point.

I’m curious then, how are you judging your skill? You say you’ve significantly improved, but you play mostly infection. Not to be rude, but infection is hardly a valid measure of skill. It’s a minigame with completely different mechanics than what Halo’s core play exhibits. Completely different physics, different purpose, polar opposite strategy mentalities (the point of the game is literally to camp), different weapon mechanics, not to mention the sheer luck factor determined by RNGesus which places you as either a Spartan or an Infected. Literally everything is different from Halo’s core gameplay. So, if you’re judging your skill based on improvement in the Infection playlist, there’s reason to believe that most of the improvement is due to getting more familiar with the particular gametype and unique maps as opposed to your actual playing skill improving.

It may be just my opinion, but true skill can only be measured in standard, ranked playlists. There are varying types of skill yes, but a minigame like infection is not a good measuring tool.

Thats a good thing to have a low KD, surprise them.

I don’t really enjoy smurf accounts though

I did not say infection was the only game I played. I said I played a lot, not all. I ALSO play a lot of Warzone, Super FIesta, and BTB.
