I was just checking my K/D a second ago and I had lost literally like 650 kills. Ironically the other night I took a screenshot of my K/D because I found it funny. (It was at 1.234) It listed my kills at 3707, and now it is at 3151. My K/D dropped to 0.997! Also, I played 10 games of BTB today and for sure raised my kills by a bunch.
If anyone can tell me how to link a photo to here, I can prove it too. I took a second screenshot of my old K/D next to my messed up one. Has anyone else experienced this? I originally posted this in the regular Halo 5 forums, but figured this was a more appropriate place to talk about it. So I apologize for reposting this!

Two weeks later
I had the same issue, but Instead I think I gained around 300 deaths as my K/D yesterday was something like 1.059 (I know I’m not that good) and today it was 0.727! I really do want this fixed.
I hava the same problem. My K/D reduced itself out of no where from 1.095 to 1.076. I played 7 games of BTB I got a total ot ta least + 40kd I should have a KD around 1.115 right now.
Please fix this. I am one of the few that has never complained about anything in Halo 5. I freakin love the game. It is my favorite Halo to date. I am not an elite level player by any stretch of the imagination but I just got my K/D over 1.0 and now I am missing a stupid amount of kills.

Are you having the issue where your KD on waypoint is different than in game?
Waypoints K/D seems messed up, but In Game and Halotracker seem fine. Mine dropped by over 1.2!
Any word on when this will be fixed. This is ridiculous. I am missing over 700 kills
Same here, I’ve lost over 700 kills just from warzone. I lost over .7 in my kd. I know it shouldn’t be a big deal, but it is nice to have a high kd. Striving to reach the highest k/d possible for me is what keeps me coming back to the game, and also the fact that the game is really fun, especially since big team battle is back.

Agreed on all accounts. I am garbage at Arena but am good at Warzone and worked my but off to finally get my overall K/D to 1.0. Certainly nothing compared to all the highly skilled Arena players but I can more than hold my own in Warzone and to see all those Kills disappear is annoying.

The stats team recently made a change to how K/D is calculated in Warzone to more accurately reflect your performance. If you played Warzone, this change would also affect your overall K/D.
In a Warzone match, the system previously operated as: Total Kills = Spartan Kills + AI Kills + Vehicle Kills. For this change, we removed AI Kills & Vehicle Kills from the K/D formula, so now Total Kills only includes Spartan Kills. This means that your K/D is now a true K/D ratio, which displays Spartan Kills / Total Deaths.
