haven’t had any flame messages for ages until last few matches, currently having a bad run, and keep getting messaged ‘just quit’ or ‘you are bad, quit’.
this is an embarrassing way to treat the other few players (compared to other shooters) who enjoy halo, i’m no stat -Yoink!-, but i am just an average player who averages just above 1.1 KD, but pathetic losers who persist on flaming make me hate the community i’m proud to be apart of.
i play halo more than any other shooter because its hard and way more satisfying and i’m sure alot of others feel the same, i played BO3 beta and mvp’d first match going 20-3. Hence why i would never buy it, its dumb as -Yoink-.
searching solo in team ranked playlists is tough anyways, without the relentless try hards accusing others for why WE lost. i love how winning means alot in halo, probably more than other games, but flaming bad players is not good for anyone…
What annoys me most is how these flamers dont have mics, dont try to play as a team at all, but are quick to accuse everyone else for their loss.
Every match has players who go positive KD and negative KD. Its the basic science of all online fps.
i just cant understand the rednecks that flame others for playing badly…
I have only ever gotten one. Halo 5 is the first time I have ever really tried to do multiplayer. FPS is just not a strong suit for me. I have always been an RPG gamer. So just doing campaign was hard enough for me, didn’t feel like embarrassing myself dying over and over again in MP. But my boyfriend now loves Halo MP. So I decided it was my goal to overcome my fears of embarrassing myself and my social anxiety and try and to practice and get better. So when I got my first message it was when I first started playing MP and was staying up late every night while he was asleep trying to get to better.
I have rarely gotten messages from strangers. But when I have, I respond by asking if they are 9 or 10 years old. I say I want to know before I get into a debate so I know who I’m dealing with. They rarely if ever respond as they get the point. IF they do they don’t give their age which further proves the point of their age. Which I then reinforce with a final message and proceed to block them after I that.
This is one of the reason I decided to stop playing arena! I don’t have a fireteam to constantly play with but I average 1.1 K/D as well when playing arena. Lack of communication and why I AM THE REASON my team lose is just no fun for me

lol i do that, but its generally justified when someone goes 4-12 or worse, the reason being is because this helps the other team to victory as much as it hurts your team. and just because i dont use a mic doesnt mean im not trying to play as a team, i generally stay close to my teammates and try to put shots in their targets (not sure if they return the favor, but oh well)
i just choose not to use a mic because it seems like 5% of the community use them, so what’s the point?

I was like you for a long time. Until I found BTB on Halo 4. The big maps allowed me to not be a constant target and when all else failed I could just run people over with vehicles. Over time I got decent and then pretty good but still only in big team gametypes. My weakness is still small team play. But with this game I decided I was going to conquer it now that I had gotten my confidence up and skills by playing BTB. I struggled a lot for the first 6 weeks but now I have gotten better and am usually 1 or 2 on my team in slayer. There is still the occasional butt kicking I get. But I just learn from it and move on.
Only message I’ve ever gotten was “Reported you camping n**” got it during a warzone match where I had killed this one particular dude a couple times then spawned at one of our bases and happened to kill him again. I just laughed and replied with ¯_(ツ)_/¯. Can’t let people get to you. At the end of the day does their opinion really matter? Just brush it off and enjoy the game taterz gonna po-tate
Hehe, feeling spoken too… because you got a message from me ;D
It wasn’t meant as flame… just a note. Seeing a player going 2-10 in the first 4 minutes is just horrible. Don’t get me wrong, we all have bad games, but for myself i try to take as less damage as possible if it’s running bad for me. I’d rather see these players quit as well as i’d rather quit myself if i’m not contributing to the team. Banhammers makes that impossible, though.
If i may ask, where are you from? Just curious if i played once again with US guys…
Release some frustration by sending a “quit” is in my eyes not that big of a deal. Shooting those players or insult via PM is pretty -Yoinked!- indeed.
People who are concerned enough to message others, blaming them for a loss should always play on a team of people they know. It’s a team game you lose as a team, you win as a team.
Blaming others for anything that you have any sort of control over is a mark of immaturity.

Yeah. I do a lot better at BTB or Warzone. I also do a lot better on any objective games in general. I don’t know why but if there is no objective I’m just an idiot. But I am getting a lot better. I just can’t take breaks. We didn’t play very much because everyone was getting tired of the game and needed a break and yesterday when we did, I couldn’t do anything, it was horrible. But I am going to keep practicing and getting better.

Ahh here he is, the guy who also was bad and went negative after blaming me for being bad… LoL
you were just the tip of the iceberg mate. But you should deffo stop doing that. Its embarrassing that i’m sharing a hobby/pasttime with you.
Telling people to quit is pointless and makes you look like a right fool when you die 14 times too
I have gotten messages for having bad games and good games lol. I rarely have bad games; but when I do, I will get a msg telling me to quit. I have also gotten msgs after winning saying, “garbage without that sniper” or “PvP garbage.” I don’t understand. Just leave me alone. Everyone has a bad game. When they do, encourage them. If you are swore that you lost, why yell at the MVP? People are going to do this. IDK why. I just live with it.
I’ve personally never gotten those types of messages, my kd is not that great either… i like you had a rough patch but finally got the hang of the game and mechanics of it… just took a while because of work and didn’t get to put in as much time as i’d liked… but i have noticed a lot more 3 vs 4 lately… people just quitting. it sucks pretty bad. whether its my team or the other especially on slayer i had a game where is 4 vs 1 or 4 vs 2 on the other team because we were beating them… something has to change on this…
it just annoys me how someone else searching solo in a team game, can get so upset at bad players being on their team… Searching solo and imagining you winning every game smoothly is just complete stupidness. It never happens. So why bother raging over something you cant control…
like someone has already mentioned, if you care that much to the point you flame poor KD’s, play with friends in a party!
i wish i could just sit and play warzone 24/7 like most of my friends list does, but its soo casual it makes me bored as -Yoink- after 10 minutes. Arena is what gets the blood pumping, and why i love Halo, if i have a bad game and lose ranks, its the buzz of reclaiming that, that inspires me more to play again and again.

Agreed. I am a decent player. I average around 20 kills a game, but every 20 games or so I have a bad one. I once played a game where I got sniped every time I spawned for three different spawns. Finished 3-9. I just couldn’t do anything. So I eventually hid till it was over and didn’t play for the rest of the day. The next day started wrecking again. In one day I won so many consecutive games I went from Diamond 2 to a high Diamond 5 before I lost. Little children should not msg people for having bad games. I don’t want people txting me every time a make a bad choice in life, much less in a video game. Just leave me alone.
It’s ok, if someone messages you like that you are probably doing better than them. If you aren’t you’re just practicing so you can do better, ignore those losers and have fun with the game.

You do realise that i didnt play serious after there was no way to win this game?
And no i won’t. Won several games after the -10 guy left.
> I would say report them. They don’t belong in the community.
Don’t be such a whiny girl. If someone insults you he is violating the rules and feel free to report them, if someone tells you to quit he just gives you an advise.
Guys, seriously… get over it. Its embarrsiing how soft this community is. “buhuh, he quit and didnt fight like a real spartan (lol), buhu someone told me i was doing bad, please ban them from the community”.
On the other hand, i bet you are the first to -Yoink!- someone if you get a reversal.
If you get constantly messages you don’t want, just turn it off in you privacy settings.
People get really salty sometimes. Comes with lack of maturity. I would never write someone a message unless its something positive like gg or well played. Just ignore them and don’t reply back, not worth the time.
