Some balancing issues being worked out, nicer playlists and a ranking system aren’t going to increase the population much I think. Does it really matter how many people are playing anyway? Whether there’s 1,000 or 35,000 people playing your favorite playlist isn’t going to make a difference in your game.

Yes, everything you mentioned needs to be tweaked, but even when it does you’re not going to suddenly find it the best game ever and love it to death. If you already dislike the game, it’s because of the fundamental gameplay, which isn’t going to change.

Well, I guess some people treat it as a standalone game and don’t compare it to previous Halo games. I’ve stopped comparing since Halo 3 came out. For some reason I didn’t like it at all and I wished it was more like Halo 2. Now I just treat each game individually. I don’t have a strong dislike towards the game, so I’ll keep playing it as long as it can keep me entertained.

Are you really that surprised? Never ever buy a game and expect the game devs to fix up all your dislikes about it. I’m not saying you don’t have the right to expect better, because you do. I’m saying most game studios neglect their games after release. They just want to work on their next game so they can make a few bucks again.
