I’m shocked about these forums. I understand this is the main website about discussions on Halo but this is just a mess. Today really does show how alot of users are childish and ignorant to the hardwork 343 has been pulling off to release info and just the game itself. They have been wanting to show the game from the start but Microsoft will not allow them. Hell yeah it’s frustrating waiting this long for a tadbit of info but atleast now we see how this amazing game looks. Reading alot of these articles, discussions, and forums on gaming websites show interviews, speculation, and info on the new info shown today for H4. It is sad to see many gaming forums think down on Waypoint Forum Users because they have seen how we react, how we want everything to be our way, the face we over speculate and assume the game is already going to be terrible, and complain. I don’t even go to these forums that much anymore to see things about H4.
Trust me, I have felt the same issue, I’ve been really wanting to see how much Forge and Custom Games have improved because to me that is one of the biggest things about Halo other than the gameplay and campaign. There is alot of things that I wish I could have my way but were not the one’s developing the game, 343 is. I do hope 343 can look at these forums to actually see what we think about H4 and maybe take some of our opinions to consideration but the fact is 343 mainly use NeoGAF and other forums to talk to the community there because they already know that they won’t get remarks from alot of the complainers here.
Now, this new progression system has been introduced. Yet, everyone assumes this is going to be a hybrid of COD and Halo because of this leveling and misunderstanding from people who have called it “Perks” which outraged the Waypoint Community. Research and actually listen to the reviews displayed on gaming websites and actually use that nice H4 Info Sticky Thread to find more info. You guys need to understand and not automatically assume they are trying to get a COD game out of this. They have already confirmed they are not wanting COD AT ALL and are trying to make their own progression system via the Armor you get. With that in mind, the introduction of Spartans IV make sense. These are now a new breed of Spartans and my speculation is that with these new Spartans they are able to upgrade their armor so that it gives a function also physically not just aesthetically. 343 has said they want the armor not just to have a nice look to it but actually mean something to the player who is playing their Spartan which makes sense with the new Spartan IVs.
Do not automatically assume the worst for this game. 343 is catering to everyone. Yes they want to bring a brand new look and feel to the game as it is the intro of a new trilogy but they are also catering to the veterans so that they will have the options of playing the classic Halo. You need to know this is a new game and trilogy. Change is going to happen but keep in mind we will have the access to have the class Halo. Wait for more info soon, you do not need to be hyped for the game but wait instead of criticizing if you know nothing about the game and think your opinions are for the best of the whole Halo franchise.
