just wanting a monitors opinion

when going through waypoint i have found many posts that i and others have placed on the page and a few of them have been closed down.
i was wondering where the monitors draw the line with a post and shut it down.(like what types of posts that do not show discrimination or inappropriate language also i understand why one of my posts was shut down but the other one i am curious about the standards they use to shut down posts.)
I would greatly appreciate a clear answer.

Thanks so much to whoever answers!

Also sorry if this is the wrong place to post this

Seems subjective, depending on the moderator.

Exhibit 1 - Approved post: WHY QUIT BAN IS STUPID AND SHOULDN’T EXIST.

  • OP straight up uses the word stupid and does not provide solutions or constructive criticism - OP admits to being AFK in game instead of just quitting, holding 4 people hostage in-game - OP admits they are stoned - Somehow does not count as "low-effort complaints"Exhibit 2 - Locked post: [LOCKED] THE MCC DOES NOT RESPECT YOUR TIME, AND IT SHOULD

  • I state objective facts using data gathered in-game - I put slightly more effort than the above post in highlighting issues - I offer solutions to the problems, one even was implemented in the game - Most liked post on the MCC forums - No information is given on why the post was lockedObviously I’m biased about my own post, but it seems to be a roll of the dice. You have to get lucky/unlucky on who browses the board you’re posting on.

Nope, we operate on the same page and moderate based on the rules of this forum. Just because a thread hasn’t been locked, doesn’t mean it won’t be or that action won’t be taken. It just means we haven’t gotten to it yet. Have to remember that we’re all volunteers that do this in our spare time, working around our own personal lives and jobs.

To OP: There can be various reasons a thread gets closed, each one taken on a case-by-case basis. If the first post break the rules then it will automatically get locked, same if it’s a really old thread that didn’t need to be bumped. If we lock a thread where moderation action hasn’t taken place, we’ll more often than not respond with the reasons why.
