How much better the community on here is. When I first came here(Just after Reach came out), the community was so torn it was crazy. You had to wear a anti flame suit if you wanted to support or make an opinion. This trend got worse and worse until about June-July 2012, where all the Halo 4 buzz kind of mellowed people out a bit. Then when Halo 4 came out, it was all Flame suit 2.0 time as all the people who had plagued the forms before hand came back, resulting in some members taking action and promoting peace and tolerance.
I am glad to say that now, with the coming TU on the 3rd of June, the community is , in my opinion, in such a better state. At this rate, 343i may even have a reason to come on here with all the constructive feedback players are giving.
Keep it up Forum!

I feel like mostly true Halo fans keep coming here. I mean, why come on a board if you’re not a fan?
I came here for the first time when Reach was launched. It was a huge minefield where i was afraid to post anything.
I came here back 2 years later when Halo 4 was just about to come out.
The forum wasnt as a big minefield then, but it is now. Again.
I guess that is the cycle of these forums.
I remember my aggressive posting. But now I am without hostile intent. I’ve enjoyed both Campaign and MM. The only game mode I still despise is Spartan Ops.
Well I’m glad the community is in a better state, but as far as halo 4’s population goes, it’s still not too good. The community’s behavior on the forums doesn’t speak for half as much of the dissatisfaction with halo 4 as the population does.
Indeed, less people complaining on the forums could mean that they are now satisfied with the game. Otherwise it’s probably because they just gave up trying to point out the flaws that may never be fixed.
Its in a better shape due to being ignored by those who are supposed to be governing halo franchise so “Those People” including myself have either left/ stopped playing Halo 4 all together.
The community can only get better if we all use the Report button and tell people who post without constructive criticism and post with hate that this is not tolerated on this community.
I don’t know seems to be a lot of "if u like Infinity Slayer u don’t like REAL HALO! " bs but other than that it’s calmed down
> I don’t know seems to be a lot of "if u like Infinity Slayer u don’t like REAL HALO! " bs but other than that it’s calmed down
Yeah, that pretty much ties in with the “if u leik halo 4 ur not a real HALO Fan!!” argument and all of the other similar nonsense.
Anyways, I agree with you OP. The forum seems to be a little calmer. You’d think that hating and complaining all the time would just be a drag for those who are constantly doing it. Eventually they’re not going to keep sticking around here.
I’m a little surprised to see the large amount of no’s. I’ve been around on these forums for a couple years now and it was much worse in the past around reach and halo 4 launch time. Things actually seem to be slowing down now, a lot less name-calling and flaming.
The only true negativity I see that is even comparable to all the hate I saw halo 4 launch time was on threads like the Say not to Pro, and the Why is the AR Even Still Around guy, and that poor guy who tried complaining about being put into Pro matches and promising to quit out. Don’t know why the community attacked him at first, tried to defend him at first, then the sane members of the community started getting on and denounced the actions of the original haters.
For the most part though I can only think of 3 real bad recent examples, but around halo 4 and reach time the majority of the front page threads seemed to be as bad as those threads were. The forum members have gotten a little better and minding their manners it seems

This.
This community is yours and what you make it. Use the tools at hand to make this a better place. Like the old saying goes, if you see something say something. And by say, I mean report. No need to engage. Let me do that for you.
it seems to be better because most left, they gave up on 343 and Halo 4, so is the community better? what community? so no, the community is worse than ever
