Just wait the 3/6 months and thats it

This is literally what im telling people to do if they are sad. Of course like many other people here, the guy thinks the game will be dead if they dont buy it on launch, but its a fact that it is way more beneficial as you get the same out of a delay by waiting while not affecting people who want to play it day one.

How hard is it really to wait some months?? I waited a full year to buy COD Modern Warfare (bought it AFTER Cold War released) because i knew it would have problems that AFFECT EVERYONE like balacing issues that affect the whole multiplayer. This coop/forge bulls–t doesnt affect everyone. In fact, it just affects a small portion of the player base (a small portion that thinks they are everyone for some stupid reason), and those people want to delay dthe game without knowing that, as i have already said multiple times and will continue to do so until the game releases this year, it will affect EVERYONE WHO IS WAITING FOR THE GAME, not just the people crying about it.

And no, they arent pillars of the franchise, Campaign and MP are the pillars, always have been, and will always be. Forge and coop are extra gamemodes, not the only way you have to play the game, and those arent feeling, those are facts, just like the fact that a mayority of the player base arent affected by those 2 things, when everyone will be affected by a full delay

Exactly. I’m not gonna wait for a delay just so they can add in 2 features that can be worked on WHILE I play Infinite. Plus, if the inside info from that anonymous dev is legit, then I understand their choices completely.

Would this still be your opinion if the option to play multiplayer with a group was removed at launch? If you could only solo queue matchmaking for the first 3 months? Co op is not an extra mode, it’s been there since Halo 1. It’s been in the game ever since.

If they delay the game until it’s finished and has all of its features then everyone will be able to play it day 1.

Yes. It would still be my opinion.

Its been there, but its an extra gamemode, it has always been. MP isnt a gamemode, is a mix of gamemodes that conform the whole thing. Forge is just a multiplayet gamemode, coop is a campaign gamemode, they are extra ways of playing the core game (campaign/multiplayer, that are going to be at launch).

Yeah, and when is day 1 going to be compared to the supposed holiday release?? 3 months or more. We had a full year delay for something that was actually a problem (graphics) and affected everyone. Half that time for something that only affects a vocal minority whose only arguments are their feelings?? No thanks

We got a Tech Preview 6 years after Halo 5. Cope harder.

…asks the person who doesn’t want to wait some months.

Well I would have played Halo 5 on release if it had spit screen co-op, but my friend loaded up the game and there was no split screen. And then I didn’t play the game for 7 years… For Infinite I was planning to play solo first time but co-op is a pretty big deal for a lot of people, it’s multiplayer campaign. Exploring for the first time in co-op is a different experience than after you and your friends already explored everything. And to avoid spoilers a lot of people who wanted to play co-op are just gonna play it reluctantly. It would never be a deal breaker for me, I just wont be surprised if there is more missing content and delays.

Look, I’ve had many discussions of this topic. I’m not looking for 343I to delay the game. I’d rather have a Co op at launch that isn’t perfect than not at all. Forge is more complex and intuitive, and I can fully understand a delay behind it. I forge more than most on H5, you can check my file browser for simple proof of that. It’s something I dearly want in Halo and use A LOT but I can accept a delay for it. Co op is a difference experience. It’s how the game should be played first time around if you’re more of the social type. It’s the experience you get with your friends the first time that a 3 month delay will not suffice. I’m not here to attack or bring people down. Simply stating opinions that I think should be heard.

So what?? We got an official Half Life game 13 years after the last one. Do you really think it took Valve 13 years just to make HL:Alyx? Of course it didnt. It has already been debunked tons of times that Infinite never had 6 years of development, and that half the time was spent doing the new engine and the other half actually making the game.

If we compare it to past Halo games while removing the time it took them to make the engine, its still the standard 3 years of development a Halo game has, so if we talk about time, its in line with the other games

You could always play something besides Halo if you don’t like Halo, instead of telling people who do like Halo to wait until what they like about Halo is added to the game that is looking less and less like a Halo game.

I would be fine if forge was delayed but Co-op.
If you wanna experience Halo infinite for the first time with your friends well no you’re not.

What is the main point of your comment to begin with??

I like Halo, thats the main f—king reason why i am explaining why a delay will hurt more people that releasing it this holiday, check my service record if you still think i dont like it.

Idk how this relates to what im explaining, but whatever

your service record says you haven’t played it

Crap logic Imo.
Hard enough as is to dodge leaks without the games being out and a major topic in the community.
Especially if you usually play halo campaigns coop first time.
Like I did ce-4

It’s amazing to me how there was all this major hype and goodwill from fans once the tech preview was finished, and now 343i has gone and spent a lot of that social capital and divided the fan base by missing on a couple of major features.

Campaign co-op specifically isn’t something that everyone plays, but it’s always been there and it’s a big deal for a sizable segment of Halo fans. It doesn’t help that this is a similar mistake the development team made with the launch of H5, especially after they tried to reassure fans that they’d learned from that launch.

Ultimately, I believe the game is going to be fine and 343i is going to deliver. The transparency is a good move as well.

But saying you’ve learned from previous mistakes and then repeating them after there’s already been six years of development time…that just makes it a bit tough for the fan base to trust you.

Still ready for this holiday.

The preview was great and all and the one match of PVP I had before I had supper and lost my chance to play more was fine but… I wish this game would be delayed even more.

Hop off. Co-op matters to a lot of us. Everyone benefits if the campaign is delayed so we can all play the story at the same time. Waiting three months isn’t the end of the world. Stop being so selfish.

Also, don’t even try to defend this kind of practice that 343i is clearly making a habit of. They should release the game WHEN IT IS COMPLETE. By saying it’s no big deal delaying co-op, you are advocating for this type of behavior.
