Welcome to Halo! Make sure to play the campaign. The story is a steep step down from Halo 4’s, in my opinion, but the game looks splendid and plays well! Campaign also acts as a solid tutorial for all the different weapons in the multiplayer sandbox.
Be sure also to consider if you wanna join a community. Not, like… us, here, right now. You’re already in that community. There’s a type of community called a Spartan Company that you can join, where everyone in the company is pushing to complete tasks to get special unlocks that you can only get that way. They can be pretty strict, but some aren’t so bad.
Oh, and take a look at Forge! It’s a fantastic tool for creating maps, and as of a recent update you can fiddle around with all the crazy vehicles and weapons that the developers have added since the game released. Maybe even make your own! If not, you can look around online for the wild and fantastic custom maps and gametypes that people concoct using this quite impressive system. In Halo 5, you can play as a spatula flipping pancakes, or dodge murdersome pigs in a pigpen. Crazy gametypes, dude. Look around.
And finally: Bronze packs until you have all commons, then Silver packs until you have all uncommons and rares, then Gold packs. This is the one true way. Have fun!

I can tell you that this game is better then BOIII by far.
Just wait until you end up in random custom game nights. Those are fun.
Welcome to halo human. I hope to test your skills on the battlefield one day. Until then you should get a feel for the weapons in campaign or forge, if you have friends custom games is another great way to get a feel for them.
Just remember:
Bronze packs until you get 500 req point every pack, then silvers until you get 3000 points every pack, then gold until you get 6000 in every pack.

Still not as good as reach
I hate to say it, but prepare to get annihilated in warzone by other people who have played since day one
that is true but I’ll get better at it and you don’t know if I am good or not until I try it and I am not new to the halo franchise I am just new to halo 5 anyway it has been Pretty fun so far the controls smooth plus I feel so light as in the character so overall it feels so good to play this game
Forget the single player it’s crap and not worth your attention. Just stick to the mp you will thank me later

Well it’s true that I don’t know how good you are but all game modes underneath warzone reward those who have either put all there money into the game or those who have played for a while. If you ask me, you should stick to playing stuff like infection, grifball and the weekly special gametype as they are all social and it is fair for everyone
Welcome! Lots of good tips so far, so I’ll be brief. I highly recommend you purchase one REQ Pack, right now - the Spartan Recruit Pack. Most importantly, it gives you the Level 6 Basic DMR for Warzone. You also get another loadout weapon, as well as some good certifications. Money well spent. For the rest of the REQ’s, you can grind away at Bronze & Silver, or take advantage of the current sale & grab a Gold Bundle, or the Warzone Bundle (recommend that one as well).
But grab the Spartan Recruit Pack for the DMR before it’s gone!
