just some speculation reguarding loadouts.

This is just something I thought they might do after watching the ViDoc and after the interview(s) with Frank. Purely speculation, but seems to make sense.

With the talk about “perks” and Halo 4 having more weapons than any other Halo game, I just wonder if your loadouts will be handled the way that custom classes are handled in CoD? Maybe you can customize your loadout and armor all in the same screen? They said even though the BR is back, the DMR will still be in the game. If so, why not bring back the Covenant Carbine and Needle Rifle? It makes me believe they’ll have the weapons categorized. Rifles/SMGs/etc. and then you select a primary and secondary weapon, perhaps a grenade type. The 3 squares on the HUD in multiplayer are assumed to be your grenade count, so perhaps? I think it’d be cool if they brought back the Spike Grenade. Anyway, just a simple thought.

For the love of halo, all i can do is pray to god that these speculations are false.

I’m not saying I want it to be true, well except the Spike Grenade…

If this stuff is real, I think that the treachery to the Halo series would be so great, Master Chief himself would reach through the programming computer monitors and smack the 343i staff something silly.

I can see Loadouts working.

BR 4
AR 3
DMR(Like-weapon) 4
Magnum 2
Frag Grenade 1

6 Max. 2 Weapons Max. 2 Grendes Max

Gameplay changing armor might just give you little stuff like bigger radar radius, more Ammo capacity for some weapons, more granade capacity, higher jump, quieter foot steps, longer Sprint, faster Reloads, faster weapon pick ups, and different HUD layouts.

If this was the way 343 chose to do things I would literally fly to America just to slap/brutally murder all of them.

except that 343 never mentioned perks…so…yea…
They said customizable loadouts and armor affecting gameplay, which is enough for me to hate.

My hope is the customizable features will be simple, clear, and straightforward abilities. A system where most people will have all abilities/upgrades unlocked very quickly, and the unlocking period is treated more as a tutorial for the player to teach them how to use each feature. And hopefully these features will be more classed based, say more akin to a character in a fighting game, or a species in SC, rather then any of the passive focused features found in the COD franchise. I want these features to be something considered for competitive play, that has an impact on gameplay moment to moment, and aren’t just lame “perks” thrown in to attract players from other fanbases.

sounds cool to me…

and then i would phone the authorities and inform them that Justin Beiber did it, thus solving 2 problems with 1 killing spree.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen Loadouts working.
