This game is still as bad as when it first started. I quit after trying unsuccessfully to play custom and matchmaking games for the first week. I came back when I heard about the first update, and have continued to try as I love halo. There aren’t many people a bigger Halo fan than I. I am still having issues and there was supposed to be another update. Well I still cant play games in matchmaking with a party, they are on the other team. I have found Two games in the past HOUR+. The updates have not done anything, and this game is terrible.
Here is why:
*In Halo 3, the audio is all mix-matched. People shoot from the left, but sounds like it comes from the opposite direction. The lifts (on guardian), you can’t tell which lift someone is coming from or going off.
*The matchmaking is god awful. Uneven teams 4v3, 5v4. Not to mention having to waste 10+minutes of my life to possibly find a match everygame.
*The skill system isn’t even functioning. There’s supposed to be ranks, and 1 playlist has a half -Yoink- ranking system.
*I go in with a party of 3, and cannot find a game. Only with a party of 2 or solo do I ever find a game.
*Game randomly freezes and crashes.
*When backing out with a party they ALWAYS get left behind, even though I click “yes” to bringing the party with me.
*Custom games automatically switch map and gametype after every game.
*Constantly have to restart Halo just to be able to join my friends or have them join.
*dedicated servers? Almost every game I play is very laggy. (I have a very good internet connection)
*These are just off the top of my head.
I believe I payed for a game to play and have fun. Not sit on my -Yoink- and stare at “connecting to session” or “finding more players”. I don’t know what is going on with 343i, but they royally screwed up on Halo 4, (halo reach was a much better game) and now their next project Halo MCC, is at the moment, garbage; A waste of $64. If the game was not ready, you should NOT have released the game. Audio problems, the game crashes randomly. I most likely WILL NOT be buying Halo 5: Guardians since 343i have managed to screw up not only Halo 4, but now Halo MCC. The odds of them making another game? Don’t look very good.
The good things… Campaign seems to work fine, other than a major delay of some achievements and progression. Graphics look great in every game that I played. The music was awesome, as always. It feels very smooth when I do actually get a chance to play a match. I love being able to play Halo 1, 2, 2A, and 3 without changing a disc, but I wouldn’t mind switching from game to game. Potential to be one of the best Halo games.
I love halo, only game I’ve really been interested in since Halo:CE for the original xbox. I’ve loved the series but with the last Halo installments, I am giving up. I had very high hopes for 343i and I’ve been let down for it. I thought this game would be different. Everything staying the same, (cant mess that up) just better graphics, well surprise! We added all this other stuff instead leaving it ‘as is’ with updated graphics… So now its " Here buy our broken game! Everything will be ok, were working on it!" I wish I was able to take it back and get my money back.
I know you’re trying, but it’s been two weeks since launch with no improvement, and I’m very upset that I still cant play my favorite game that I’ve waited for months. I really hope everything gets resolved soon and this game turns out to be great. (like it has potential to do) As for Halo 5, is looks more like a CoD game than any of them. So hopefully that beta will change my mind, but as of now it looks like a very bad game. That last game that actually felt like Halo, was Halo 3.
