So I just re-watched the First Look trailer and noticed a few things:
-
Sprint seems to have the same physics as it does in Reach; drastically increases speed, and you can melee immediately after. Both of these are things that many of us very much believe should not be the case, as it will be detrimental to competitive gameplay in the same way that Reach’s sprint did. (3:12) Whether being shot will stop your ability to sprint is still up in the air.
-
(1:55) Bullet mag seems to be just as ridiculous as before, not that big of a deal though/expected.
-
It seems like there is some sort of “boost jump” (possibly what the “boosters” on your back do), as the jump seems to be very high sometimes, but not so other times ( this could just be the angles playing tricks on my eyes or hidden man cannons though). Although the movement settings seem to be very good; they look to me like 120 speed, 125 jump, and 200 gravity looks in Reach (very promising).
-
There does not seem to be any sort of meter bar of how much sprint or boost jump you have. I was originally hoping there may be 1 energy bar that controls both (ie a boost jump will fully deplete your energy resulting in you being unable to sprint or boost jump again until your energy is recharged) but this does not look like it will be the case.

-
it’s seem that the scoring system will be similar to CoD; the only CoD-esque thing I am open to. Maybe it will incorporate things like flag carry time and kills into objective game scores, or will reward a team who team shot more in a close game. Interesting to see.

Looks like being scoping in will make you move more slowly (many clips of players walking very slow while shooting).
So far, it doesn’t look like H4 will be as bad as Reach. Yay. That is all. Nothing revolutionary, but a couple things I haven’t seen anyone else think about/pick up on.
