The Waypoint forums are no long extremely cancerous! A while ago, every time I logged onto Waypoint and majority of the trending posts would be just be hate posts towards 343. (discluding the one that were constructive criticism) But no more, which is always a plus in my eyes. To me it means 343 is improving and the forums are noticing it.
I know this isn’t part of the main post but I’d like to mention; Big Halo Youtube channels have gotten a decent spike in views/likes/subs ect. Which to me is great.
343 made some adjustments to Waypoint on the 15th anniversary of Halo.
One of the changes made was to how topics get featured.
Featured Topics - From now on these topics will be manually curated by the team to allow us to highlight on-topic and constructive topics and prevent ‘snowballing’ by members. We will monitor and evaluate forum threads to tag as “featured” as appropriate.
I think the 343-hate threads are still around, but they are no longer as visible as they once was.
While I’m happy with the change, I wish 343 updated the featured topics more regularly, some of threads have been there since before December.

I still see them occasionally, but very much less then a year ago when I first joined Waypoint. I think after all the free content for Halo 5 people ran out of things to complain about.

Most of those kinds of threads now appear to be mostly about servers, ghost mêlées and heavy aim.
I wish 343 was more active on their own forums, I haven’t seen them around much.

I think they are pretty active as a lot of the things that are asked for are eventually received. I think the reason they appear to never be here is because they never comment.
Basically anything positive gets put in the featured topics, anything negative doesn’t. can understand why 343 would do that, after all it is their website.
