As the title suggests, it’s really frustrating that you can’t use the Security Knife Shoulder armor separately from Emile’s armor kit. The fact that the Shoulder piece itself just isn’t there to unlock is mind boggling and a missed opportunity.
I know the armor kits should hold some sort of specialty, but completely gatekeeping an armor piece and holding it hostage only being available to an Armor kit is ludicrous. We already have enough ways in which our armor customization is extremely limiting to many people, it sucks seeing that theirs yet even more ways one can limit customization.
I hope this trend isn’t followed going forward, as itd almost be a betrayal to the community, as we were promised limitless possibilities, yet we’re seeing tons of limiting features already, that on top of armor kit exclusive armor is just a huge slap to the face.
Exactly my point, this literally can be used against us and can lead to more monetization opportunities for 343i, I really hope that route isn’t taken though
Taking the ability away for not being able to use specific pieces of armour and colours from your armour coatings feels less creative and unique when trying to design your spartan to be how you like.
I just feel like taking that specific thing away from players, makes it less customisable and personal than something like Reach or Halo 3. Even though there seems to be some really cool designs and options which would be possible in this game.
