It’s not even good looking pizza. Looks like the greasy $1 pizza you get in Manhattan and pretend it’s good but in reality it’s not.
Kinda makes you wonder why they bothered, doesn’t it? Making multiplayer wargames simulations was answering a question that nobody asked and greatly restricts their freedom to do silly and unrealistic things without either contriving an explanation as to why it’s okay or outright ignoring the decision they made.
It distracts Yupyap the Grunt. Psychological Warfare at best, imagine trying to take Armory and now the enemy is distracting running for the French Fries which was an assault rifle the whole time?

Yes it’s canon but it’s also a simulation.
Your gun could be a giant rodent that shoots hydra missiles, would it b canon? Yes.
Would it be outside of the simulation training? Unlikely.
