I’m quite tired of going into BTB(my favorite playlist) and getting put on a team where I’m the only one with a mic plugged in and ready to communicate and then the other team has at least 3 or 4 mic users and they win because of the better communication. When I’m in the turret of a Hog and I say “Stop, let me get the Shotgun real quick”, I’d like my driver to hear that and cooperate. I’m not sure if the Chatty preference in the Psych Profile really works. Anyway, anyone else irritated by the lack of game chat going on?
Go with a full party
Problem solved
Not many people tend to use Mics anymore and when they do I find it is when it’s already mates who are talking about some random crap (and should be in party) and everybody else with a mic doesn’t use it.

That’s disheartening.
Also, I’m mainly talking about when I’m playing BTB at around 5AM and my friends are all sleeping.

The main reason people don’t talk is because they expect every person to be a 10 year old playing loud metal music down their Microphone and don’t want to put up with stuff like that, if Xbox LIVE issues bans for that, people would stop it and probably actually talk to each other more.
Blame kids’ parents for not disciplining their children.
Shut down Facebook and Twitter… and parent’s might actually have to spend time with their kids instead of taking a picture of them spending time with their kids, posting it, then spending the next 3 hours waiting for replies to their wall post.
I myself am an early mormning player. I get on after work while the rest of the house is sleeping. Which is why I do not use a mic at that time. My wife js a light sleepee so i have to turn the volume down low, and not talk. Since i can’t talk i just mute voice in the am. Any other time I am on I have it going and just mute the kids being annoying.
I’ve had this issue too. It drives me nuts, because I love playing objective games, but when no one in your team can communicate, it gets really frustrating.
I’ve noticed that if people on a team are communicating, then those who don’t have a mic plugged in (or if they’re in party chat) will join them. So I guess it’s up to getting a large enough group to start talking to get the rest to follow.
I do feel your pain, though. Most of the time, I have a few friends online who I can jump into a game with, but when I play by myself, I still like to be able to communicate with my team. But often times, whenever I come across another person with a mic they either a) don’t use it, or b) scream/sing/play music down it. It’s very annoying, and I’d love to see that change.
You can’t expect this from the kids in BTB. The majority of the people who play it couldn’t care less about communication.
Then you get those 12 year old kids who do nothing but annoy their teammates. Sorry, I’ll just DMR my opponents to the ground.

Hey, if you ever want to play just shoot me a game invite. My GT is HELLDAWG25.
The only time I plug my mic in is if I have a reason…
I’m sick of the language. Can’t control it, not my place to discipline, so I just mute. If I happen to get matched with a team with mics, I will flip it on for a bit.
Usually not worth the effort unless I’m in a party.
Yeah Halo;Reach has lost its social touch compared to the previous Halos.
After coming back to Xbox after ages,i decided to make a new account since no one on my old friendlist played and yeah i was hoping to find some decent players with a mic to play with naaaaaa, literally no one has a mic and if they do they are in party and the first game i found with someone with a mic was a 7year kid and the first thing he said was ‘i will swend you a fwend reqwest’ …really?
I remember back when voice chat as standard with online gaming was a major selling point
LOL, halcyon days.

This.
OP, pay attention as this is the best advice anyone can give you.
You win more with people you know and most of the time (unless they are bad), they have mics on. It’s a much more enjoyable experience when you are talking to your buds then having nothing but silence. You can take a step further, learn how to play as a team, set up and coordinate. Problem Solved…again.
Don’t expect randoms to put on mics. Ever and even less so to expect them to be coordinated (they aren’t).
You mean you don’t enjoy all the randoms “beat-boxing” and making fun of your mom?
O_o
Also, you can change your search preferences to “Chatty” and it will attemp to match you with others who have done the same.
