Just played Snapshot for the first time.

Just played Snapshot, and regardless of the name or description, I don’t think people know that only snapshots count.

I ended up with 29 snapshots, with the next highest on my team being 9.

The other team were using scopes and getting assassinations.

Do people know that only Snapshots count, or do they just not care?

Doubt they care, that mode is Commendation grind fodder.

Both? Maybe the urge to get kill before dying outweighs the need for the snapshot. Snipers rifles are telescopic killing machines, after all.

I suppose you’re right, but it would still be nice if people played to win.

Not to mention everyone switches to the Beam Rifle aka the snapshot king. It’s gets really annoying hearing that gun sound like 3000 times a match.

Haven’t played it yet.

I was assuming scoping, assassinations and melee were disabled.

Both. Some people are too lazy to care about learning the rules.

If they could do that through some sort of tuning, that would be nice.

They could disable Melee and Assassinations (they can actually DISABLE Assassination, but they could just make melee do 0% damage so its worthless)

but scoping in, i doubt think they can disable that… people will just farm that playlist for non snapshot kills though, nothing you can do about that really…

Haven’t played it but from Halo 4 experience I notice that people don’t really play to win. It’s more of a play
casually kind of game.

I guess some people just play for fun or want to get kills to boost their kd regardless of winning.

Interestingly enough, I managed to follow the rules AND win. Then again, my play style is not THE play style. Everybody Halos differently.

It’s pretty funny actually. Snapshot completely eradicated the concept of sniping. Finally. Now it really is shoot-each-other-with-high-powered-DMRs. Not complaining, just kinda funny
