Yeah title says a lot, I got on today and finally got that Venator helmet I’ve been wanting since I bought Halo 4. I finally got it, and it wasn’t as satisfying as I had hoped. Then I noticed that some of my friends were playing Reach and I was like, eh what the hell so I played with them. I didn’t expect to have so much fun playing Reach, we had a blast playing BTB and it was nice to be able to use my mic again. We were talking about how Halo 4 had a lot of disappointments in it, and how now they just went back to Reach. Now, looking back on it I feel really sad. Halo 4 is just unplayable with friends, nobody wants to play and there is only 45,000 playing MP. I mean, this never happened with Halo 3 vs Reach, Halo 3 was the past and that was all there was to it. I don’t really know what I’m trying to say at this point, maybe the message here is past halo>Halo 4. I’d suggest playing some older halos with friends it’s a great time.
*PS I’m still sad over Halo 4
I’m thinking about going back to halo 3
Played Reach today and had a blast as well, maybe Halo 4 just needs more community maps, thats what makes Reach primarily fun imo, and I get matches on there no problem, and no JIP’s

I hated Reach in its day, but now going back and playing it I actually appreciate it a lot more than I do Halo 4. Bungie tried something new with Reach, which I can appreciate, but 343 tried to go back to more classic Halo gameplay with Halo 4, and then completely stuffed it up.
And, coincidentally, Reach was the last Bungie game in the series…
Not to flame, though.
The changes in halo 4 are just too radical (not to mention Halo 4 does need some fixing). Reach maintained the core gameplay of Halo (get the power weapons) while adding in armor abilities. Armor abilities can be very annoying, but at least we don’t have ordnance drops or customizable loadouts.
I agree with the OP. I had a blast playing Reach after I stopped Halo 4 (though IMO Halo 4 is barely Halo. Not intending to flame, just stating a personal opinion). The game is much more balanced than H4. Especially because power weapons are not a guaranteed one-sided killing spree. Another game to look at is Halo 3, which is still loads of fun to play.
