I purchased the Limited Edition of H4 with the understanding that all Map Pack DLC is included. Why is it that the Champions Bundle does not fall into this category?
I do know the reason, it is because this specific DLC is labeled as a standard DLC and not a Map Pack. Kind of BS if you ask me; although this does not change my opinion of H4 it just feels like I’ve been shafted a bit.
Suggestion: It would be great if you could buy a game (paying the premium for the Limited Edition) knowing that all related DLC for that game is included. ← Knowing that will never happen, I must say that I would still pay the premium for it knowing that any and all DLC for the specific game would be paid for upfront.
If you go back and read the details, you’ll see that it comes with the Wargames Map Pass that is said to contain THREE map packs. All of whom are already accounted for. It’s not some loophole, there was no “season pass”, it’s a common mistake.
I recommend you actually read the description before you buy something. Go check out the Wargames Map Pass contract in the Xbox Live marketplace. You’ll see what I mean.
At the time of Halo 4’s release, 343i probably hadn’t even come up with the ideas for the maps, skins, and Ricochet. You can’t sell something that you haven’t conceived the idea of producing in the first place.
The Champions bundle (or anything included within it) was probably not planned on release; even if it was, the War Games Map Pass specifically stated that it only covers the Crimson, Majestic, and Castle DLC.

I understand completely, the three map packs I paid for upfront are fine. I am stating that I would like to see a Limited Edition that includes all DLC; not a specific amount.

Seems a bit greedy to me. The limited edition clearly stated that it included the first 3 DLCs. If you’re disappointed because you expected all of them to be free then that’s your misunderstanding.

I think he’s just saying that it would be nice to see in the future, aka Halo 5.

It would be nice, yes, but it’s a highly unrealistic expectation. His thread title and OP made it sound like he was angry because he misunderstood.

1.- Oh right because writing Microsoft with an $ is so original and funny right?
why dont you also write $ony like that and any other company with an $ on its name like that as well? even Nintendo we can add an $ somewhere in there too.
2.- Well duh! of course they are all about the money, EVERY COMPANY IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, do you think people make companies and work just because they love working and producing stuff for free? of course not! every company has a purpose behind it and that purpose is to MAKE MONEY! even the company you work at / will work at is about money, they are not charities.
Then you get:
Castle DLC which isn’t apparent on any playlist, cause nobody buys it.
Now:
Pay Champion for 2 maps and exclusive armor DLC, and pay more.
This hasn’t really done Halo 4 a good deal. This again is another disappointment… This DLC should have been a token of good will but they make you pay for your requests/petitions, wtf? (BTW where’s season 2 of spartan ops lol)
Screw your heads on straight.
Future: Will you buy another Halo with promised DLC? Answer: No.
I can’t be the only one that’s noticed just how many people always wonder why they didn’t get these maps for free with the map pass. It’s pretty obvious they didn’t make it clear enough you wouldn’t get them, otherwise you wouldn’t constantly see these threads.

It’s because when most games use the word “pass” it involves you getting all the future DLC for a game. In that respect it’s kind of douchey to include a “map pass” that only gets you a subsection of future maps, whether they made it clear or not.
