First off, I LOVE Halo 4. One of the best Halos I’ve played, and I played them all!
Okay, for real.
The Launch day wasn’t that bad if you consider it everyone. Yeah, the servers may have taken a hit, but that game itself is actually amazing and very well done. Seeing how this is 343’s first game, they did one hell of a job. Look at Halo Reach, that game was great. Yet, it had more woes than Halo 4. And it took a little bit longer for Bungie to directly respond with the community.
Yeah, the Reach servers didn’t have these kind of problems, but I remember the “prepared” beta being down for quite some time due to the connection stress of the amount of players. Another thing, Reach had some glitches that involved Custom games, firefight, campaign, and forge mode. One being the ever lasting loop of “Loading…Failed to load” screen. Another being the terrible Host migration. It goes to show that every AAA title has their highlights, and their facepalm moments.
And XP caps. They don’t bother me one bit. I hit the cap in the morning, and continued to play multiplayer. I understand that people love to level up and unlock newer armor and gear, but the real reason behind every Halo fan is the game itself. I, for one, enjoy playing online. As long as 343 keeps my service record updated with my stats (wins, kills, medals, etc), then I’m happy.
Sorry for the long post. I would give you a cookie, but this is the internet. One more thing… Halo on!
