Just my luck.

I went out last week and bought a Microsoft points card for the Defiant map pack and after a few days my friend came back online after being gone awhile.

He was gonna play Halo too but didnt have either map pack. I gave him my 1600 pts card thinking I can go buy a new one…

Then I get bit in the butt by mother nature… Saturday night we had to drive a good 60 miles to where my stepdad works to return a set of keys hed accidentally taken, we were almost there and 3 deer run across the road.

We ended up smashing into the last one, and it ruined our car. and our insurance wont cover it, So im out a good $1000 and have no way to purchase a new points card for the maps tomorrow…

Moral of the story, dont give up your points card when a new mappack is just around the corner! You may get screwed in the end.

Heres a nice image of my car :frowning:

Take those deer to court.

What luck! Glad your alive though, to defy the Covenant a little later then everyone else. :stuck_out_tongue:

I wanted to, but there wasn’t anything left of the one we hit, so it couldn’t be taken to court. The others just ditched their friend and got the heck outta dodge.

Yeah, thanks  I was freakin out about that the whole night, then the next day I go outside to buy a card and see whats left of my car.

All I did was Sad face. I had just got the car too.

Well I think the fact that you are okay after the accident > a videogame’s DLC content, Im glad you are okay dude, tho I can not help but feel bad for the deer.

Anyways good to have back and safe.

Plus you are lucky to have wildlife like that wherever you live. Unlike me the closest I have been to a deer or any other animal (except for domestic ones) has been a zoo.

Evil concrete jungle.

This is true. Im glad that were all okay, it was kinda creepy being out on the highway at 3:30 in the morning waitin for someone to get out there.
I tried to avoid hitting the deer but they were almost perfectly spaced, it was either a tree in a ditch, or a deer.
Thank you for showing concern

Like it was said above in another comment, Ill just have to defy the covenant later than expected

if you know how to gift points op, i have 800 to spare.

> if you know how to gift points op, i have 800 to spare.

I dont think there is a way to gift points, I had just given the code to a friend before I entered mine.

Thanks though!

i do remember that they were doing it, i just read on the xlive forum that they suspended it, fraud/stealing was going on.

Thats a shame. I guess it had come and gone before I had joined Xbox live then. I had been wondering why they have never thought of it. lol I guess I just missed the train.

Yes too bad they got rid of the system, I have 1200 MSP that I have no use for nwo that I have the Defiant Map Pack for free and I would gladly give you the 800 you need for the maps.

But dont worry, the Covenant wont be going anywhere and we will be waiting for you to join us in the battlefield soon enough!

And yes I know you had no choice about the deer, no one runs over a living being just for fun (no one sane anyways) but yeah between a deer and a tree… even if it sounds a bit harsh… deer has to lose.
