Just missed the flight

So, I only just now realized that I was invited to the flight, and seeing as the flight ends in a matter of hours, it looks like I’m not gonna i’m not be able to install in time to be able to play before it ends. I can accept that, but can anyone let me know just what issues are there, that way I can get a good idea of how long it might take for the full release to come? Like can I expect it to come out a few days from now, or does more work need to be done?

bump I’m interested to hear what someone has to say. I really don’t know I wasn’t invited.

From my experience, I had no issues. Got into matches no problem, although the start-up and game over would sometimes happen all of the sudden, like without a message or game announcer saying anything, it would just go straight to the XP earned screen. Occasionally, parts of the remastered maps wouldn’t fully render. The campaign also worked perfect, switching between original and remastered graphics was flawless, although the voice acting would get messed up if you did it during a cutscene. Just wish they had Split Screen, maybe in the full release? I would be surprised if this took longer than a month or two to come out. Fingers crossed they decide to release it in May!

Even with some notable bugs, Halo CEA released only a week after the flight finished. Halo 2A feels absolutely flawless so I’m thinking a week isn’t outside the realm of possibility.

I just checked my email and realized that I missed the flight too:( but reading this

makes it a little better, knowing that the release isn’t too far off

I agree, one-two weeks is my guess.

One week for a more or less flawless product (still needs some adjustments to get H2C in parity with the Xbox version, which aren’t so much, and some quality fixes like the turret input dela, but aside from that flight was stable and fun), two weeks for a decent launch.

So far based on past flights estimated releases between flights, release are usually 1-5 weeks but that’s just based on past experience.

Looks like I’m out of time to double check and report a few bugs I found on Metropolis, Gravemind and cutscenes.

Taking a look at some of the bugs, we may be out a couple of weeks. Just a guess. Last I knew there was still some issues to iron out with campaign. Multiplayer was pretty good, all things considered. H2C isn’t at all in line with how it was back in 2004, but they’re well aware. Still, perfectly playable. Didn’t have any game breaking bugs. No crashes, freezes or any hang ups in multiplayer. I played maybe 5 minutes of campaign, so I can’t attest to that.
