Is because they removed region lock, why why why would they do that with dedicated servers?
They do realize that completely defeats the purpose of dedicated servers?
Because in order to have lag compensation you need some sort of host based servers to work off of, without lag compensation anyone above 80 ping on any side of the world is going to be supremely handicapped.
That makes sense I realized that there has been some lag on severs.
I have been having someone extremely bad issues with the servers, with people lagging and rubberbanding in game making them extremely hard to kill. Or just lagging around the map and dissapearing completely.
Some of my shots despite having a 60.9% accuracy in one match seemingly become a bullet sponge or somehow perfect after I’ve killed them…
Then I read on the forums that region lock was removed and the light bulb came on and also the jimmies got rustled.
Yea I’d rather have region lock back, since in wz it really made no difference regarding searchtimes. And I’d rather play no matches than crappy lag matches.

Is that why everyone was lagging playing customs in the same room today? What the hell. We just figured the servers were having a derp day.
Come on guys isn’t it great? I mean now that they have enhanced the multiplayer experience so much i can finally enjoy people lagging through my shots, lagging all over the map so nobody can hit them, it is really nice when you sit in a tank and they are lagging up to you and board you because you could not hit them since they were lagging like -Yoink- and teleporting over the map. Some guy yesterday ate 3 sniper shots to the head, isn’t that great?
Anyway now that 343i have accomplished true balance i have to congratulate them on their good decision making and thank them for the best possible halo multiplayer experience i have had in a long time.

I had trouble finding Breakout/FFA games sometimes, but I’d rather not play them than play non-region lock games! They’re rendered unplayable at the best of times.

Yeah I know, it’s awful. I’m just saying there is another side to this story.
3 games played and all 3 were disconnects. I’m not sure I like it.

I haven’t seen lag yet so I don’t know if everyone experience it.

One thing is sure: the netcode has some serious flaws to be solved.
For the FAST GAMES = LAG vs REGION LOCK = CANNOT FIND GAMES AT ALL matter 343 has to build some kind of mechanism, manual or automatic, in order to privilege best connection matches first and then widening the range as last resource in order to NOT MAKE SEARCH FAIL.
So: don’t reintroduce region lock, just build a smarter system or manual filters to customize search preference!
Anyway i swear: if I will see another “unable to match” message I will throw the console out of the window.
Agreed. I live in the UK and in about 8/10 games I’ve played the entire team were all US based. It takes half a second between pressing LT to throw a grenade and the grenade actually being thrown. In the time since this ‘update’ I’ve went from Diamond 2 in Slayer to Platinum 4. Between the stupid aiming controls (why were they changed when every Halo previous including the H5 beta were perfect?) the poor matchmaking and the lack of playlists it seems 343 don’t want you to play unless your a American competitive player.
