Just got my first OG Xbox and CE

The other day I picked up my first own OG Xbox, a Duke Controller, and Halo CE and 2, and I have to say that there is this special magic to it that nothing comes close to feeling. After booting up CE I felt like a kid again. I started playing Xbox last gen so I have only ever played CE Anniversary on MCC and I have been having a absolute blast playing it. A part of me wishes I could have experienced it back in the day with everyone else, but I also feel very lucky to be able to experience now.

Here’s to the long nights staying up playing Halo, and may they live on forever!

A very nice story. It brings back plenty of memories from when I was in that stage of my life too. It’s a shame that it’s impossible to recapture that exact feeling again though even if you do what you have here. Have fun.

OHHH it was a magical time, playing halo CE through Xbox connect and hosting games on a connection that only had 128kb upload lol.

The feeling I got when I started seeing other peoples Xbox fill the halo lobby on my tv was orgasmic, like I was doing something I wasn’t meant to be doing.

Hell yeah! Always good to have on the shelf. A word to the wise though, the disc drives on those OG Xbox’s don’t last forever, so keep an eye on it.

I think most fans of the series know the exact magic you’re talking about. While I no longer have my Xbox, I still feel it every time I launch it from steam. Have fun and don’t take your finger off the trigger

I remember playing split screen and using cardboard to prevent my friends from screen peeking lol
