Okay so we all know how aiming your ground pound and melees suck while using the “Recon” button layout. So all you have to do to remedy this is go into the Xbox Accessories App and switch the B button to the Right bumper. So now your action/reload button is B, and your melee is on the right bumper. A small thing I overlooked but very helpful!

button mapping is one of the best things Microsoft ever added to the console! I play southpaw and certain games last gen I couldn’t even play because they didnt off the feature! Borderlands, Bioshock, Medal of Honor etc. now if a game doesnt have it I just switch the sticks in the map and boom I can play!
This sounds interesting. I didn’t realise we could do this.
Shame you can’t do it in game and remap all the forge controls though.
The only issue is it changes it for everything, including other games etc.

Takes a little bit to get used to it, but I thought the melee/groundpound button being accessible with the right bumper was FAR more helpful than it just being an action/reload button.

And I agree, I just randomly stumbled across it and it sure is a very implement from Microsoft. Glad they just didn’t make it for the Elite controller and you can do it with a standard one.

Yeah I wouldn’t know, all I play is Halo xD. But it is a very fast tweak so if you switch games it shouldn’t be a bother.
This is interesting. I run recon on the Razer Wildcat and used the Razer mapping to accomplish something similar. It’s aweome that you can do this without a fancy controller thx for the info.
I was using Recon for awhile but I recently switched to the default layout except I swapped left stick click and right stick click.

Default with a and b button on elite paddles. Swapped left and right stick clicks so crouch is left and sprint is right.
Best layout so far… If you have an elite or scuf.
