Halo 3 didn’t come out on the original Xbox and we all had to get 360s to play the new hotness. Unfortunately, technology moves forward, and you need to as well if you want nice, new, shiny things.

Dude. Get with the times. I thought everybody already a x1, especially after christmas. The game would have to be significantly downgraded and I don’t think many people would play it. Sorry to burst your bubble, though.

Do you know how much they’d have to downgrade the game to make it work on the 360?
There’s a reason they’re developing exclusively for the Xbox One, and they’re taking advantage of it.

As the engine and everything else has been built from the ground up to work on the Xbox One, it’s really far to late in development now to release a version for the 360. Even if they did start work on it earlier, as JSA343 said, a lot of things would have to be scaled back in order for it look and run half decently. There would be features that would get cut as the 360 wouldn’t be able to handle them. It’s just not going to happen sorry. I would rather not see Halo limited by inferior technology anymore, it’s got a real chance to shine on the X1
I know right?! I think that it would be better if Microsoft give Halo up as a Microsoft exclusive and release for all consoles .

Halo 4 was supposedly pushing the 360 to its graphical limit so there is no way that the next gen halo will be supported by the 360.
I wished that if 343i wouldn’t release Halo 5 on Xbox 360 or pc then they could just make a game called Halo Escalation and release that for 360 and PC . And like every mission arc of the game would be based on a different issue of the comic book series . And some other gameplay stuff like playing different sides in the campaign and multiplayer and a mode called Swarm were you choose which side you want to fight on and you have to stop a flood outbreak .

sorry mate, they are now current gen. get with the times, the 360 have be around for what, 7 years now, it’s unbelievably dated.

It will hit 10 years old on November 22nd this year, that’s how old the 360 is now

Welcome to console gaming dude, there are also quite a lot of technical issues that’d prevent H5 to be released on xbox360 easily but it’s also a commercial matter, you know I’ve been a PC gamer for years before I bought myself some consoles and I was always frustrated at not having Halo 3 on PC, then I had enough money to buy a 360 and enjoyed all the Halo games I couldn’t play and I was happy.
That’s how things are you won’t have H5 on 360, face it, it was even foolish of you to believe you could have it…
well, I really doubt a game which the beta alone was the size of most 360 games, will be arriving on 360.
Just a reminder the beta had 3 gametypes and 6 maps.
for the sake of the xbox one and it’s future, it’s best if halo is developed for it only, and not 360 - too many of this generations games have been scaled down to work on x360, resulting in a lack of games that are truly next gen and cutting edge.

That will never happen. Just because a few people can’t afford Xbox One doesn’t mean Halo 5 can’t be Xbox One exclusive…
There’s no way Xbox360 could support Halo 5…
