Agreed, it’s so stupid. No one cares if you like PC more than console or vice versa.
Halo 3 didn’t come out on the original Xbox and we all had to get 360s to play the new hotness. Unfortunately, technology moves forward, and you need to as well if you want nice, new, shiny things.

Dude. Get with the times. I thought everybody already a x1, especially after christmas. The game would have to be significantly downgraded and I don’t think many people would play it. Sorry to burst your bubble, though.

There’s a reason they’re developing exclusively for the Xbox One, and they’re taking advantage of it.

As the engine and everything else has been built from the ground up to work on the Xbox One, it’s really far to late in development now to release a version for the 360. Even if they did start work on it earlier, as JSA343 said, a lot of things would have to be scaled back in order for it look and run half decently. There would be features that would get cut as the 360 wouldn’t be able to handle them. It’s just not going to happen sorry. I would rather not see Halo limited by inferior technology anymore, it’s got a real chance to shine on the X1
I wished that if 343i wouldn’t release Halo 5 on Xbox 360 or pc then they could just make a game called Halo Escalation and release that for 360 and PC . And like every mission arc of the game would be based on a different issue of the comic book series . And some other gameplay stuff like playing different sides in the campaign and multiplayer and a mode called Swarm were you choose which side you want to fight on and you have to stop a flood outbreak .
