Everyone is excited for Halo 5 guardians to come out! However I am not excited as it has only been announced for Xbox One (which is kinda expensive) and I use Xbox 360! This means that a lot of other players in my position will not be able to enjoy the new installment in an amazing series… This is probably gonna be the case with a lot of other games. However, if they do decide to make it for Xbox 360 then I’ll be the happiest person ever!
Dude, it’s X1 exclusive. The 360 is getting phased out. Pretty soon, nothing new will be coming out for it. Sorry, but I’m just saying…
Sorry but that’s not going to happen.
If you manage to save up at least 50 dollars/euros a month from now I’m certain you can afford an x1 and the game
Don’t think I’ve seen one of these threads in ages.
Halo 3 was for the 360 only so when I new the Xbox One was coming out that Halo 5 would not be seen on the 360.
The 360 is aging hardware that could barely take Halo 4. If you want a game that looks like Halo 4, with the potential to be as long as Halo 2, with as much content as Halo 3/Reach, then yeah, Xbox One only.
Don’t dilute the product to fit obsolete tech.
It will not come into 360 because the hardware will not be able to handle it period. besides, 360 is aging out and it is only a matter of time. I mean several free to play games that are on xbox are already starting the move over to ONE(World of Tanks)
Yea I’m pretty sure it’s not going to the 360 it’s time to move on to the new consoles.
I have an XBOX why the hell Halo 3-5 released in the 360/1? That a -Yoink- I want my Halo 5 in my XBOX.

What about on the N64?

Truth is, they probably could. I mean, CoD AW, Destiny, Far Cry 4 … they were all on the 360. The only thing is, Halo is Microsoft. And Microsoft needs to sell Xbox Ones because that’s the point.
OP the 360 is being phased out in a year or 2. Why would they butcher the game to run on 360 when the X1 can run it without cutting any corners on graphics and can handle a lot more than 360. Also the 360 is almost a decade old…

Well, the older generations held Destiny as a whole back. Wouldn’t want that to happen for Halo 5.
Dude, this game isn’t possible on the 360.

Tons of corporate crap held Destiny as a whole back. Something very similar to 5 could run perfectly on 360 with a bit less shine. We’re only a year and a half into “Next-Gen” shelf life. Any game that come out exclusively is only out to sell consoles, not because old systems couldn’t handle it. That’s not good or bad, it’s just a little quirk of the console market.

a lot less shine actually. The 360 could barely handle Halo 4 and ran at 702p. Also the MCC didn’t release on the 360, why the hell would they release the next numbered installment on both?
You people honestly don’t understand that MS at this rate wants to be selling Xbox Ones, not 360’s. They haven’t released any other exclusive besides Titanfall on both systems and Titanfall wasn’t their choice. The 360’s time has passed. The Xbox One is at least 8x as powerful as the 360 and has been priced at $350 for a while now, making just as cheap if not cheaper than a 360 around its launch. It is perfectly affordable. I didn’t buy a more powerful system to have it held back by people who don’t want to buy the new system. You can already see the limitation by the lack of the nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor on the 360.
Yes the install base of 360s is still big, but gaming won’t go anywhere if we just sit on our old consoles and expect amazing, innovative games to come out. Devs have done amazing things with 512mb of RAM, but leave the old consoles behind and let’s see what they can do with more. Look what GTA did just with the extra hardware. It made GTA 5 an all around better game. If what people are theorizing about an open world campaign and huge BTB as well, then the 360 would’ve dragged that down as well.
You realize that the reason H4 was so linear was because that the 360 couldn’t handle it, right?

I’ve written that exact same comment to tons of people. I never said it was good or bad. I never said I wanted stuff on the 360. Of course MS only wants sell Ones. I want good games that use the processing power of the One to the max. We don’t have much like that yet, and we probably won’t for the next year or so. Releasing on 360 isn’t going to help, of course. But at this point, only management decisions are keeping stuff on One. That’s neither good nor bad. However, only a few years into the shelf-life, we’re not going to see anything insanely ground breaking.
People are approaching this question from the wrong angle.
Why isn’t Halo 5 on PC?
If you trade in your 360, controllers and games at eb games an xb1 will cost you like 100$.

Don’t worry, if you’re willing to upgrade your OS, then Windows 10 will have the ability to stream your Xbox Juan games to your PC. It’s still a stream though so you better have really good internet or you are not going to have fun.
