I’ve been lookin some gameplays of Halo Infinite and i noticed that the graphics of the game are looking kinda cartonest the armor doesn’t feel like metal, it’s looks like plastic or something. It’s just for me?
Looks pretty nice in game to me.
Behemoth and Fragmentation are a thing of beauty.
Really? I feel like this is one of the more realistic looking Halo games and is comparable to Reach. It’s a massive step up from Halo 5 or 4 I think.
The explosions, fire, and bullets all look weird, but the environments and armor look fine to me.
I think the armor on Halo Infinite is very smooth it doesn’t look like metal, on 4 I could see the details on the metal all very well done and with a green more compatible with metal, on Infinite on my opinion it looks like green for example is a green painted on plastic.
There are definitely elements of the game in general that are too cartoonish, like the outlines and some of the effects Urbane mentioned. But I don’t think the environment or armor look cartoonish at all, especially after the overhaul since E3 2020.
I think Infinite’s art style is pretty good, way better than 4 and 5. Tha maps look good too, besides Fragmentation. Wasn’t too keen on it graphically.
I think the better graphics when compared to previous Halo games and the classic-style vibrant coloring is mostly what you and others are seeing. Halo Reach was really dark, gritty, war/mud/dirt/blood everywhere, real emo -Yoink-. Infinite stays true to the roots of Halo where things were always a bit more vibrant and bright as far as colors go, particularly Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 3. Even as far as the outline system goes, that was ripped straight out of the pages of ODST.
Personally, looking at the game that we’ve seen so far as well as what’s to come (armor leaks), we’ll get alot more of the dark and gritty stuff at launch. I think the game is beautiful the way it is though.

At quick glance it can seem like the armor and metal is very smooth, but if you look at all of it closely you can see the scratches, scrapes and dirt all over the armor. Also keep in mind that some coatings will make your armor look more beat up, while others make the armor look relatively new
Seeing as we’ve only seen multiplayer in depth. It has the colorful simulator vibe of the early Bungie Halo titles. To me it looks like H2 but with modern graphics textures, not the way H2A is all shiny and smooth, but if H2 was an HD game from the beginning.
i think the graphics are fine the new armor is amazing and sound effects are ok the special effects are good
The armor reminds me of when Boba Fett painted his armor in Mandalorian. Still metal, just flat finish.
Whenever I see statements like this I feel like people have no idea what a cartoon is and or what metal actually looks like. Dont get me wrong, halo exagerates its colors and gamifies various systems for the sake of gameplay (as gameplay is king). However, its metal looks like metal (metal in general isnt generally shiny, especially metal used for military purposes) and the parts that are exaggerated are not a universal level of exaggeration to then make it cartoonish
I think its just you mate. Looked beautiful to me.
This is the least “cartoonish” the games have looked since Reach.
