Took my 9 hours on normal. I wasn’t going slow or anything, so I feel like it was a good length.
It does end abruptly like the reviews say, and leaves some heavy plot threads to be resolved later in the series, but I personally don’t think that’s a bad thing. It’s already got me excited to see what happens in the next installment.
Also, I think the whole “Locke to Chief ratio” people were complaining about turned out to be a bit hyperbolic. Locke has more missions, but like most people have already noted, a good chunk of them were just “walk around, enjoy the scenery, listen to what people are talking about, and gets some context of the stuff going on”
Blue Team missions felt really meaty, most of Osiris’ missions, when they actually were missions, were short and sweet.
I personally enjoyed Locke and Osirirs as characters and as a Team, and Chief seems to be reaching all new levels of badass with every game, and this one is no exception.
It’s easily my favorite campaign in terms of gameplay and presentation, and my second favorite, behind ODST in terms of theme and story.
That’s all I have to say. It was worth the -Yoink- 11 hours it took to download the damn thing. Holy -Yoink-.
