343i, you did an utterly fantastic job with this campaign. Captured so much emotion all throughout. I applaud you and await the next Halo.
There’s a bunch of evidence pointing to her not really being dead. Nothing concrete, mind you, but enough for it to be a distinct and reasonable possibility.
I’ve got a feeling she’ll somehow survive. I don’t know how the game would feel without her. I sure hope she survived!

Well, I guess I more so wish she has been saved. Her sacrifice would still mean the same, but she’d be back. Like if something that she had not expected to happen happened. As she said, she USED to know everything.
Without a doubt they will use the forerunner tech that made the Promethean to turn Cortana into a real girl by the end of this trilogy. I foresee them using the DNA that makes up MC, as we know the librarian made him all special, to fix the issues they first occurred when the Forerunners attempted to convert back to biological entities.

I really hope they don’t. It’s just such a cliché, the whole “artificial being becoming human” thing. It would really cheapen Cortana’s character, imo. And I fear that if they do go that route, Cortana will become nothing more than a generic love interest.
Love interests may be generic, but it’s not as though they cheapen the story or experience. I think Cortana has always been a certain kind of love interest anyway. Not in the “I wanna bang you and make ancilla babies” way, but in more of a “I depend on you, and there’s nobody else I can trust; I don’t know what I’ll do without you” kind of way.
That said, I wouldn’t want her to be saved. I would enjoy the story just as much if she went Pinocchio and became human, but I would prefer the story go in a different direction
Just another thought, what if in order to save Cortana and make her human MC has to die? They develop a love interest type story but never get to be together because MC sacrifices himself to give her life.
