I guess if anyone has an answer for it, please explain. But why do players who need to qualify for arena get placed against onyx and champion levels?
Wouldn’t the logical thing to do is place qualifiers against qualifiers? Or am I missing something here?
It would make sense but I think they do it this way to test what players you can and can’t make on that way they find the perfect middle ground through out your 10 games.

Placing an unranked against a champion is a tad extreme, don’t you think?
I’m only saying this because it happened to me a few rounds ago. I finished with absolutely dismal scores because of the unbalanced ranks.
Worst part was they only had three people on their team.

Yeah I’ll agree champion is a little much…

Depends. I’d go with what ruthless said and say they match you vs other ranks as a “test” but bump you back down if you lose. There’s also the fact that your highest rank is diamond 6 which is borderline onyx and from my perspective, that’s a reasonable rank to match vs champions.

Alaskan, you’re a friend of SpartanI99 , fairplay.I quit Halo 5 because I got matched against high onyx players on my 2nd arena placement match…uninstalled the game on stream.Absolute bs the ranking system doesn’t work.
