Back when Halo Wars 2 was originally released, I enjoyed playing custom matches where I set up a match and battle multiple enemies on the enemy team… with NO allies. Yup, I liked to challenge myself against two or three Legendary, Heroic, and Normal AI’s. I deliberately chose to have NOBODY on my team. And it was SO MUCH FUN!!!
For the past several months I’ve been overseas and have only just gotten back to playing Halo Wars 2 (one of the greatest games of all time might I add) this October. So I’m not too sure what the updates have done since I’ve been away but it seems in this instance, something has gone wrong. Either deliberately or unintentionally.
After setting up a custom game with my explanitory vision in mind, instead of a warm greeting like I used to get, I now see this message: “MULTIPLAYER - Invalid Team Setup - You cannot start a game with this team setup”.
This is so, unbelievably screwed up. I turned Halo Wars 2 on just so I could dual multiple AI’s without allies abd now I can’t.
What the Duck? 
I demand this feature be reimplemented in to the custom games again. It breaks my sensitive little heart that it’s gone, and already can see my favourite memories pouring down the gutter.
EDIT: immediately after posting this, I actually realised even with a full 3v3 team tye message still appears.

I simply turned the game off… then turned it back on. Solved the issue it seems
