I can understand why people would be mad with the new additions, BUT!, what would you think if halo 4 was just like halo 3? Here’s what I’m trying to say, Would you rather… Have a game just like halo 3 but just with new graphics and everything else was the same or, would you rather have a game with new additions and new game mechanics? I’m fine with either side, but I’m just curious what you guys think?

I just made a post similar to this, but I like seeing the new and improved and some of these modifications were needed.
im fine with either but i’d go towards the halo 3 side.
All change is not growth, as all movement is not forward.
It doesn’t matter if you do add something new because the “competitive” crowd will usually remove twice as much as to what was added.
I would not play an exact remake of Halo 3, nor any Halo.
I would play 20,000 games of a Halo that has gameplay almost identical to H3 or H2, but added features, weapons and maps.
Basically what a sequel should be.

Same here. A sequel shouldn’t be as drastic of a change as Halo 4 is to Halo 3. There are a lot of good additions that Halo 4 is bringing that would compliment Halo 3’s gameplay well, but there are also bad additions that cancel out the good ones.
Once the game comes out and people begin trying out various styles through custom games then we’ll eventually find that best mix between old and new.
I don’t see myself ever voting for Infinity Slayer except the first time just so I can try it and get it out of the way. However, I really don’t want to spend all of my time in the Classic playlist either. Regular Team Slayer hasn’t really been shown off yet so I’m hoping it finds a better balance between the two instead of focusing more on one over the other.
people have complained with every halo title ever since 2, its just not as good as the previous halo they say

I want the BR to feel like the BR from HALO 2. HAlO 2 is just the best HALO ever. I don’t even need to back up what I’m saying because of how epic it is. I was playing it on xbc connect and it reminded me why I love real Halo and hate Reach with a passion.

There’s controversy surrounding every game. The real question is: how much? The most controversy comes around games that have been changing what already works. Halo 2 did it to Halo 1, Halo Reach did it to Halo 1-3, and Halo 4 is now doing it to Halo 3.
I didn’t recall nearly as much controversy surrounding Halo 3 as there has been with Reach and Halo 4 simply b/c Halo 3 was like a carbon copy of Halo 2 except w/ some tweaks here and there and worse maps.
