I don’t really care if it is or not but I’m just curious as to why it’s not rated M like all the other Halo games?
That… Is a really good question. That took all the angry out of my sails, though, and replaced it with concern.
The standards for what’s considered a “mature game” have changed drastically since the Halo franchise began. The main thing that kept Halo “M” was the Flood, because you could dismember them. Since those aren’t in Halo 5, there’s no real reason to give it an M rating.
cause 343 thinks its in the movie industry where pg -13 movies make more money than rated R movies.
The problem with this is that pg-13 get so much money because horrible parents dont hire babysitters and take their kids to those movies.
This doesnt work for games cause everyone is already home.
I guess the theory is that horrible parents are just going to buy their kids the game cause it’s rated T and not bother to ask what the game is about.
I don’t really know why it was “M” in the first place. Flood? Really? Look at GTA5, that’s a mature game. Not a game with Grunts.
Standards have relaxed over the years. That’s why.
Halo games shouldn’t of been M rated anyway. They just continued the trend just cause, now standards have changed.
Who knows. People say it was the flood, but the flood wasn’t in Halo 4, either, and it was still rated M.

I think T is better for Halo. I thought M games were games that had a lot of gore and the use of the F word.

True, but the Composer scene would have made up for that, I should think…
That aside, Reach and ODST were both M’s that had no Flood. Plenty of blood, but no sign of the parasite. The series has always been as tame an M as you could find; with no Flood or Composer it could have gotten away with a T anyway.
Who knows why the blood effects were toned down? I’d have preferred they left them in, but it was never as violent or bloody a series as Gears of War so it’s not a deal breaker. Just… Interesting.
To attract a wider audience of new players for that money! jk lol its probably just to help bring new people into the halo universe.
Because they have relaxed the standards plain and simple. Nothing to do with the game really. Halo never really deserved MA any ways on any of them so it doesn’t concern me. It’s not like you could chop arms off with the sword or blow heads off with the shot gun and watch blood spray out like a fire hose and now you can’t.
Halo now being rated “T” should be the least of every ones worry for H5…

No it was the composing section of H4 that pushed it over the edge.
Reach was M due to drones exploding in bits with head shots.

ODST should’ve been T. Reach had the exploding drones when head shotted.
