if cortana just left mc asleep and never woke him up to try and save them it would of never led to didact release and him killing all the humans on the research facility and new Alexandria and countless others in between.
cortana died either way so basically mc lives at the cost of 1000’s if not more lives of others… hmm seems he cares about humanity.

More like the UNSC would have eventually stumbled upon Requiem and released him anyways, except without the chief to aid them.
The Infinity did land there without even knowing the Chief was there after all.

i assumed by the console only a human could activate and release him so convenant couldnt do anything, kinda like the whole prophet using Sargent johnson in h3
They found the location of Requiem on the third Halo installation and sent the Infinity to investigate, they would probably would have been pulled in, then investigated and been fooled by the Didact the same way MC and Cortana was.
The Didact would have been free either way.

They did know Chief was there. They came due to the distress beacon set off by cortana.
why in the books instead the Didact can be awaken only by a forerunner?
requiem didnt seem to open up either till it scanned MC , IIRC the covenant were there for months with no prevail, who knows the infinity could of made the same fate and just floated around without getting access after fighting the rouge covies

Where do you get New Alexandria from? If I’m not mistaken, New Alexandria was turned to ash and rubble when the Covenant glassed it during the events of Halo Reach a little over 5 years prior to the events of Halo 4. In fact the Didact fired the Composer at Earth and New Alexandria was a city on Reach, a planet in a completely different solar system.
So New Alexandria wouldn’t have existed during the events of Halo 4 since Reach would have been an uninhabitable planet during this time.
