Although the flight will feature only bots that doesn’t mean this is the only thing that’s probably being tested. PC hardware is far from cut and dry, so I’m pretty sure they will have eyes on performance on all ranges of PC builds. Gun/Equipment balance is also something that can be monitored as well. Although they may have a bigger focus on AI it doesn’t mean it’s the ONLY thing they are looking to test.
yeah I see a lot of people complaining that its only bots but its really used to test to see if hardware will work as well as test bots. this test is definitely necessary for the development of the game. plus who knows we may get 4v4 social slayer on sunday.
In yesterday’s stream they detailed this a bit.
The bots actually put weight on the server which allows them to test servers but also it means players can be spread across more servers since there’s only 4 people per match.
In essence doubling 343i’s ability to stress test serves even with a “smaller” group of players.
All of that alongside testing hardware performance, UI feedback & game balance.
