Just Add Some Strategy

Hello, my name is Storm. I am the leader of the Arctic Huskies. We are a mature Halo clan looking for some members that meet its standards. For one, communication is key. You must always call out, whether it’s an enemies location or your own. The requirement of a mic. goes without needing to be said. You must at least be somewhat good, just enough to stand a chance in a fight. You must also realize it is a game and is meant to have fun. We just try to make it better by winning in the process. We will be using strategy all the time to wipe out enemy teams scrambling out on their own. You must respect everyone on the team and their decisions in and out of game, this does not mean you need to agree with them only be mature about them. We will almost always be on Reach though it will be rare if we’re on any other game as a clan. There are no colors or emblems, in that case freedom is given. We, in no case or subject promote team killing or T-bagging on any occasion whether casual or competitive. I as the leader will always listen to suggestions or strategies in and out of battle. I will except you as long as you are willing and fit in with everything I have said above. It will take me maybe a day of playing matches with you decide but just friend me, message me, or reply here and I will gladly respond in a civil and timely manner.

Hey Storm - I agree with everything you posted here, with maybe the exception that I OCCASSIONALLY find Teabagging appropriate and/or satisfying (please see my exception to the rule below, I don’t want you to automatically write me off as an A-hole).

My skill/style:
General, Grade 2 - I’d rate myself about average. I almost always play BTB because I really love (but rarely experience) a team effort. This may be a flawed strategy, but I rate my success on trying to get 13+ kills on Slayer (1/8 of 100 kills = my share) while maintaining a positive K/D. I like rocket launchers but I suck with the sniper. I prefer to DMR on their flanks but I’m lacking in 1-on-1 closeups. However, I think I’m very good at driving the warthog and score Wheelman Sprees often. I’ll temporarily camp if I see a pattern, but I don’t avoid fights (more like, I try to pick my battles and hedge my bets - I’m patient).

My communication style:
I always use my headset, even if no one else does. I think I’m pretty good at relaying sniper loc, enemy Wraith loc, or when I see a vehicle spawn. I occassionally cuss but I don’t talk trash and racial comments are never cool with me.

My availability:
Whenever my wife isn’t looking!
I’m an adult, full-time student. During breaks, my chill-pill is Halo. When schools in, I’ll probably be a twice/weeker. I know this isn’t encouraging enough to solve all your problems, but I figure if we can build enough like-minded friends, there should always/usually be someone ready to play when we’re available.

What I’m sick of in BTB matchmaking:
Betrayers, psuedo-betrayers (harassers who set you up to fail), and booters for clear-accidental betrayals (ie. jumping in front of my vehicle, though I’m much more careful about avoiding those these days).
Quiters, which do almost as much damage as betrayers.
People that don’t use headsets, carry on conversations with outsiders, or play loud music until I have to mute them (whats the point of BTB without coordinating).
Frustrated suidiciders that ruin the team’s score.
So, pretty much anyone that acts counterproductive (sucking while doing their best is ok).

**My exception to teabagging: I really don’t do it that much anymore (I think it’s more of a low-rank phase for most), but here are the 2 times I find it appropriate:
On the enemy: If the whole oppossing team seems to be doing it or if I think I can get the player mad and try to hunt me down, which might be worth an extra easy kill for my teeam (this is the one I rarely use anymore).
On a teammate: When they are betraying/psuedo-betraying my fellow teammates, I’ll absolutely do or say whatever I can to make them mad enough to quit or get booted.

I read some of your other posts, and it looks like you got the same crap formatted recruiting replies that I did when I was considering a clan. It seems to me that we’re looking for the same thing to improve our Reach experience. I’m not really looking for a clan as much as I am looking for a network of friends that will improve my team experience. Let me know if you’re interested.

Best of Luck!
